Can’t remember a yank scoring 4 in a first division match before. Congrats to Pefok! He’s such a streaky scorer. He scores in bunches. He always seems to come out of these little mini droughts with a vengeance. Keep scoring and he’ll be back with the USMNT in Jan for WCQ’s.

Four different types of goals coming from four different situations. But the goals all have one thing in common…. All inside the 18. That’s where I want #9’s to succeed. I want my #9’s inside the 18 hungry like a shark.
Normally Young Boys would be at the top of the table, above Zurich, with about one loss so far. So this has been a weak season for them, but it's starting to turn around: Lugano was 3rd, after this rout they fall to 4th and YB climbs to 3rd. The Swiss League is hard for evaluating players. Very top heavy of late, with only one or two teams looking good. Basel, St. Gallen, Lugano, have been playing second fiddle to Young Boys for years. Zürich this season is a bit of a revelation. Ceesay has been on fire. In general, though, the games are close affairs. The Swiss are known for their defense-first mentality. And Lugano is not one of the terrible sides. Scoring four on them is an achievement.
Young Boys have probably been suffering from CL-induced hangovers; the step up in standard and the travel taking it out of them physically and the drubbings hitting them psychologically. UEFA ball is over and the winter break is looming so they'll look to hit the ground running in the New Year. The fact that Zurich are well ahead may even help them: people much prefer to be the hunter than the hunted. Young Boys will have to be aggressive and chase wins rather than settle for draws, which will suit Pefok. With just a little luck he could hit or even break 20 goals this season.
This is roughly the equivalent of a Rangers or Celtic striker putting four past Aberdeen or Hibernian. Scoring 4 against Ross County amounts to "that's interesting" for bigger clubs. Against Hibs or the Dons you're in "that's interesting, tell me more." A good run of goals and assists in the ruckrunde should see Ligue 1 or even BL bids in June
True enough. 2 goals in 6 CL games for the weakest team in the group is good production, and scoring the winner against United at the death in the opening game will not have gone unnoticed. His total output is 11 goals in 17 league games and 2 in 6 CL ties - plus another 3 in 6 CL qualifiers - and 3 assists. With that level of production, he's being monitored. If he keeps it up he won't be playing in Switzerland for very long
