You should hear the remake he did with Marisa Monte in "Waters of March" on Red Hot + Rio. She speaks in Portuguese, he speaks in English - it's kind of funny. He did a lot of Brazil compilations with older MPB artists. Well... the only ones I can think of are his Beleza Tropical ones. I never really got into David Byrne's stuff, but have two of the Beleza compilations. Maybe I'll give it another listen and see if I like it.
Unrest did a great tune called "Winona Ryder" that I can't seem to get out of my head these days for some strange reason... Bands I'd been meaning to check out for a while and finally got around to: June of 44 and Uncle Tupelo. The former is great to listen to before playing soccer; the latter is great to listen to while drinking and er...nothing else really.
