I've completly lost track of who we're chasing, as there's been so many of them, so I thought it would be easier to start a list of who we 're not after, so..

Apparently David Dean has told a fat bloke down the pub, that Arsenal have made an official aproach to Tottenham, telling them that they would be interested in Teddy sheringham..going anywhere else BUT Arsenal.

Tottenham have issued the following statement

"We have no choice but to consider the offer"

As far as I know Arsenal aren't after me, but that may change if they ever find out that I played gk a few times for my coed indoor team.

I actually find it funny that you started this thread. Ever since all the Beckham rumors started flying around I haven't seen hardly anything about Arsenal's interests. Considering AW's tendency to find underrated/unknown players this may actually be a good thing, but if I don't see some juiicy rumors in the next week or so I'm going to get nervous.

Funny thread, but to FPF's point, I think not seeing Arsenal rumours is a good thing. First, it means we are possibly in serious discussions with someone. Second it means that the agent for that someone is classy enough to not run to the papers. Third, if there was a rumour we were after someone, and we were, then the price would go higher.

Of course it's also possible that we've got nothing on the table right now.

I think the European transfer markets is going to go like dominoes. Once one team buys, then the seller team will have to buy, and the dominoes start to fall.

I think everyone else is waiting on this Beckham deal to see which team blows their transfer budget in one shot. Once that happens, one of the big clubs (Real, Barca, or AC Milan) will essentially be out of the running for the other top players and that should open things up. Likewise, I think a lot of the players looking to sign with EPL clubs are waiting to see whether Man U pulls this off. That will give them an idea of how much they can squeeze out of Sir Rednose and gives the other clubs an idea of what they need to spend. I will say, though, that if Beckham stays and Fergie chooses to sit him on the bench for the better part of the next two years, as has been reported, then both parties are even bigger buffoons than we thought. Not that I'll complain, as it'll be funny to constantly see shots of Becks on the sideline, stewing and looking befuddled.

I've heard from a very good source, someone close to Hill-Wood; a man whose discretion is well known, that because we are soooo strapped for cash and because none of our foreign players will to take a wage cut, to pay for the new directors boxes at Ashburton Grove, the word is... Bob Wilson is going to get his wooley mits out of storage and come back as our goalkeeping coverage! That's why all the rumours have stopped!! I understand that Bertie Vogts is also very excited by the news; as you all know dear old Bob is a Scot!!!

Apparently Hill-Wood himself bought a new pair of boots last week, so as to save a few quid on new defenders. Only trouble is, his foot's in his mouth so often, he never gets a chance to try em on???

    Come on you Gunners!!!
