The White Stripes have been getting rave reviews with their stripped-down sound.

However, what the hell is this brother/sister thing?

Absolutely outstanding band, but there is always the lingering thoughts of potential incest.

As Bill Hicks said - "I'ld like to introduce you to my wife and sister", and there was one person standing there.

Yes, they're good but not as great as the media hype is preceeding them to be...

White Stripes arent anything groundbreaking or special. Its different than whats out there, so thats why it gets hype, not because its actually great. Dont get me wrong they DONT suck, but not great either. First time I heard The White Stripes I thought it was Tenacious D. Just swap WS lyrics with funny ones and you get the D.

Yngwie Malmsteen reviews the White Stripes' song Fell In Love With A Girl:

"This band should learn how to tune their instruments before they record an album. I hated punk rock in 1977, and I still hate it today."

Yngwie Malmsteen reviews Weezer's Dope Nose one track later:

"This is obviously something that would appeal to a lot of people. It’s an upbeat pop-rock thing that has its own style. What they’re doing, they’re doing it well. It’s not my cup of tea, but it’s better structured than the previous track, which made me want to puke."
