Bundie teams making a play now too? https://football-italia.net/fiorentina-mckennie-competition-bundesliga/
The clear out at Juventus continues. ⚪️⚫️⛔️ Not only Federico Chiesa.Szczesny, Weston McKennie, De Sciglio, Arthur Melo, Kostic, Nicolussi-Caviglia, Rugani are all OUT of Juventus project."We are convinced this is the best decision possible", Thiago Motta says. pic.twitter.com/r4CIWOMoZr— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 4, 2024
Welp.....if true I don't know what he is going to end up doing: ‼️McKennie is currently rejecting all offers. He is asking for a base wage of at least 4mln€.@AlfredoPedulla | #Juventus pic.twitter.com/3hxBgVpzBd— Bianconeri Zone (@BianconeriZone) August 4, 2024
It's called negotiating. Mckennie can ask for whatever he wants to ask for. At the end of the day, he and a club will come to terms. If he doesn't, then he won't be playing this year. That doesn't benefit anybody.
They've signed Kylian Thuram and Douglas Luiz and have made an offer for Koopmeirs. But overall these are more about just restarting a project. Juve fell into the combo of inflated wages and bloated salaries. They did this last year too. Just a way to try and force playe4s they don't want to also look for new teams Dunno if the numbers are true but reason he was frozen out were wage demands and there have been rumors that teams in Europe won't match what he wants (some of that came from the Villa swap deal but Fab said Wes and villa never got that far
Fiorentina better hope Antonín Barák is the right answer in midfield (msn.com) Andrea Belotti is gone. Nico González might be on his way out too. Jonathan Ikoné, M’Bala Nzola, Josip Brekalo, and Abdelhhamid Sabiri are edging towards the exit as well, although finding them a destination is the tricky part. Moise Keane and Andrea Colpani have arrived, and Albert Guðmundsson may be close behind them. Lucas Beltrán, Riccardo Sottil, Christian Kouamé are set for rotational roles. It’s a lot to keep track of.
If this happens, I will not be surprised. Juve may be willing to pay part of his salary this year to make it work. I hope it does because I think this would be a good spot for Wes. Palladino is a good upcoming manager which will help Wes 's tactical development. If he does well, there then maybe he can get a raise next year. I still don't see anyone paying him 5 million though. https://football-italia.net/mckennie-fiorentina-need-juventus-help/
If nothing else, he'll just remain at Juventus and battle it out, playing when he can and doing what he always does..PERFORM.
If they end up with Koop also, I just don't see where there is any room for him barring a series of catastrophic injuries. He needs to find another spot or he will end up sitting out a year. he will get paid, but it will not help his career. If Prem teams aren't going to pay him that kind of money, no-one else in Europe will either. If he wants cash he should look to Saudi or maybe MLS. Some club like FC Cincy may be willing to pay him 4-5 million. But remember, in Italy players salaries are net, not gross. If he is making 2.5 net, how much will he have to make to hit his number in a "gross" environment? Can he get that here in MLS???
He's grossly underpaid at Juventus. Probably knows he won't get 5 milliom but should easily get 4 million especially if he was in the Premier League. They put more stock in 18 games in the PL but ignore like 30 or 100 games in Serie A.
He is not underpaid at all. If anything he is paid appropriately, or perhaps a bit overpaid. If he was underpaid, there would be a long list of teams after him. There isn't. At least not at the numbers he seems to be asking for.
I think it's perfectly fine for Wes to ask for a payroll raise. End of the day though teams are not willing to meet his demands (allegedly) so you have to be willing to lower them. From what I've seen Juve at this point is willing to accept any offer to get Wes out
Weston feels like he’s gonna be a last minute desperation move from a team. We hsve seen this in so many transfer windows. Teams primary options fall through then they mad scramble to meet requirements of second or third tier options. Wes is going to look embarrassing or brilliant for this play a team this literally not even linked could be the final destination
Do people know that Italy generally reports salaries as post-tax while other countries like the US and England usually do not? In Europe especially, that's a big difference.

yup ……. Always take with a grain of salt. It’s not reputable news agencies that are part of the yearly transfer sagas . It’s goal, daily mail, the sun, independent, fan sites, etc.
FWIW, Goal.com used to be a terrible website that just made up transfer rumors about players, but for better or for worse, they don't really seem to make up new rumors on their own anymore. Not sure if it's an improvement or not, but nowadays Goal.com is more akin to those twitter aggregator accounts that sweep up all of the transfer rumors floating around the internet and repackage them with a clickbait headline and a new image to give the illusion of original content. In other words, they're just passing along rumors from other websites or twitter accounts, but they will usually link to those websites/accounts so you can judge the reliability of the sources yourself. Because the internet is full of garbage, most of what Goal passes along will be rubbish, but if you read through the articles, you'll notice that they do occasionally include reports from credible outlets as well.
Latest I have seen: ‼️An intermediary has approached Weston McKennie for Galatasaray, but the midfielder has it turned down. He is not interested despite he is not in Juventus’ plans.@NicoSchira | #Juventus— Bianconeri Zone (@BianconeriZone) August 14, 2024
