Not from Rocco he isn't. I doubt he will get as much as he could haver gotten had he signed the deal Juventus offered him, let alone Villa..

No, but he knows that. Moise Kean took a 20% reduction; however, signed for 5 years at 14.1.

Wes may be seeking stability instead of a one year pay bump, which he would receive if moving to the Premier League. Moreover, he's more likely to have a well-rounded role at Fiorentina as their total payroll is 1/3 of Juventus and 8th highest in Serie A.

Fiorentina may be worth more to Wes with marketing and personal connections. The NBA player, Jimmy Butler has a video where he travels to a Tuscan vineyard for wine he was turned on by LeBron and given a case by Mark Wahlberg; now that's an impressive customer base. With a long term contract and stability, Weston of Tuscany, whose mastery of the language and culinary communication skills get locals to adopt their menu for American tastes, he might find being the only American professional athlete living quite an upgrade from the coal mining region that introduced soccer to him as a youth.

Why are so many clubs trying to lowball him? He's one of their best performers with regard to his wages. He def isn't overpaid.

because people question his work ethic and it doesn't seem to be improving so they all think they are getting a lesser version each year.

Also doesn't help that his best work has been everywhere but the PL. Nor that his bad play in the PL was bad in a particular way that makes it easy to label him lazy and out of shape. (And Leeds fans are probably a little more brutal than some places, although he really wasn't getting it done there.)

He is not overpaid now. But he wants to double his salary and he would be overpaid then.

2.5 to 5 million? I don't know where he is going to get that.

I think that is his way of saying that he is leaving on a free to choose where he wants to go. Either pay me this crazy amount of money, or I'll wait the year out. With that said, even as a free transfer, I don't believe he will get that much. I mean, I hope he gets as much as he can.

I think that's possible he's thinking this way. And on a free he has more suitors to choose from and can potentially end up somewhere he actually wants to be. Juve wants to free his $ up for sure but they don't want to give him away to do it so he'll be an insurance policy for a year.

To think I felt like I got a bargain when the Turkish Lira was 8 to the dollar......ohhhh boy, its not gone well for them. I thought I was going to love Istanbul, but epitome of a one and done. Ive never been to a place that tries to hustle you with their carpets, leather, jewelry, literally any other service. And you cant avoid it either, well, if you're of my complexion anyways.... (at least it wasnt racism, smalllll victories).

But I digress, back to Weston, Galatasaray certainly checks off the Champions league box. What about the pay box? If its between Turkey and Saudi........I begrudgingly take Turkey..... Before the Big 4 implosion hits for real (which frankly could be at any time)

Wow, Fiorentina, take that deal. Weston AND Kostic? Kostic is pretty dang good in his own right. With Juve's voluntary self implosion, Fiorentina could easily finish above them.

Well they have Matty Cash at RB, don't play wingbacks, and have Onana, Tielemans, McGinn, Barkley, and other CMs that have come in/back this window to sort through. So kind of seems like he wouldn't play that much at Villa, to me.

I mean... is he trying to live his best life as a renaissance man, or play some ********ing football? He's 25, what are we talking about here. Making connections in wine and business? Huh?

What implosion are you talking about? Trading youth players to upgrade their midfield and defense? Or selling Soule to Roma to probably get the best scoring midfielder each of the last 2 seasons in Serie A?
