All 3 of you are kind of right. The first game against Germany was a 3-6-1 with Chad Deering and Brian Maisonneuve in the double pivot. The second game against Iran was a 3-5-2 with Tab Ramos and Joe-Max Moore, at least on paper, as the deepest lying midfielders. Though if you listen to what the players on the field have to say about that formation, nobody really knows who was playing where in that game.

Good for Gibbs. Sometimes those type of stories / rumors get a life of their own and can complicate or kill negotiations. Can make players get a reputation as hard to deal with etc.
Agents leak true and false stories to the press all the time. I’m not going to lose any sleep over an agent supposedly being upset by something online.
I agree but I think he's got a good reputation. Just look at McKennie's career choices (other than the Leeds mistake). Gibbs isn't one that creates drama and threatens to move all the time instead Weston sticks around and fights. I think he could have done that at Leeds but he was coming back from injury and not in shape and the fans became nasty so he didn't want to stay there.
Its kind of shocking that they'd see it or pay attention to it. Obviously there's a lot of made up nonsense on twitter feeds. Just like this story about Pulisic and Sydney Sweeney seems totally made up. .........................but if you're an agent like Gibbs, you don't want any prospective clients thinking his fees are a problem with regards to an opportunity for a client.
Juve just hied their new Sporting Director today, so perhaps things will heat up again soon. Spalletti likes Weston so if they can reach an agreement on money I expect he will stay....IF Spalletti succeeds and Juventus make the CL. https://football-italia.net/official-juventus-ottolini-new-director/
Also, when agents do that kind of dark arts stuff, it's off the record or attributed to someone else. If the agent goes on the record and says something directly, I think it has a greater chance of being true. I get the picture that both sides have been playing hardball over numbers for years, but it's been Juve that seems to engage more in the petty stuff. Like Wes has never held out of camp, instead the team has tried to freeze him out (and it's always been the coaches who've decided after a few weeks that he's too useful and they're going to play him).
Weston played a blinder today. he won man of the match. Well worth watching the replay or the highlights on YouTube if you don't get Paramount+.
I'm very excited for another cycle of: Juventus offers new deal; greedy McKennie turns down deal; Juventus fans buy the PR line and say he sucks; McKennie signs new deal; McKennie wins starting role despite big money signings; Juventus wants to sell McKennie.
I'm not sure how much of this continuous cycle about McKennie is real....................and what's conjecture in the Italian gossip media.
Latest wrinkle is that his AGENT is screwing up his renewal over agent fees. Italian sports media takes a backseat to no-one, even the redtops in Britain.
So it was. Which is entirely predictable. No-one knows the real story other including Wes and Juve, LOL. All we know is that there isn't a deal yet.
Seem like he's in a run of great form. Right before the Cup. Not sure that's entirely good. But its better than many alternatives.
He's playing so well that I'm sure other European suitors are contemplating a pre-contract offer. Juve's management is going to have to make an urgent decision. He's playing so well, that I'd be STUNNED if he moves to MLS (there was that rumor of FCD, etc. being interested). Some Premier League or Bundesliga club is probably talking ot his agent RIGHT NOW. I started watching Weston as a pre-teen at Dallas. He looks like he's in the best physical shape of his life. Its making a big difference. The guy is noticeably fitter than in previous years. My earliest photo of Weston. I think he's 12 in this picture. This is at the Dallas Cup with their U14s.
His ball-winning has certainly improved along with the fitness. I wonder whether he fancies another crack at the Prem. The only question for me would be his position. Playing more CM would likely help his cause.
Weston is kind of a jack of all trades. That versatility is valuable. His positions played graphic on transfermarkt is ludicrous. CM, RM, DM, AM, LM, CB, LB, RB, CF, RW, SS. [I always forget the string of games he played at CB for Schalke.] Basically he's played everywhere but goalkeeper in his career. I'm with IndividualEleven, though. Versatility is great. But WHAT is your position where you're going to have the most impact if you're moving to the Premier League. Where are you a consistent starter at an elite level? Are you a CM at the Premier League level? He got by at Leeds. He was OK. What was it, 20 games? 0 goals and 1 assist. Did Leeds fans have a right to abuse him so much? No. Was he great? Meh. He was OK. Tyler Adams was better.
