I am new at bigsoccer, so first hi to everyone here.

    Found this article at skysports.com

Werder Bremen could be on the verge of signing Brazilian defender Naldo.
German media reports are claiming that Bremen are ready to pay in the region of €2.5 million for Naldo, although the deal could yet be scuppered by French side Bordeaux.

After missing out on Die Bundesliga last season, Werder's plans for the new campaign have been hit by the loss of influential defender Valerien Ismael, who has joined rivals Bayern Munich.

And Bremen's sport director Klauss Allofs has admitted that Naldo is viewed as a possible replacement for the German side.

"He is one of several candidates, but we don't want to be panicked into buying anyone. Any new player must be better than the ones we already have in this position," Allofs told the media.

    More info about him:
Naldo is a 22 years old defender, who currently plays currently for EC Juventude (Brasil). He is 1.92 m tall, weight 82 kg.

    Here´s a picture of him:

Yes, Dieter Eilts played for Werder, when i started supporting them (1994/95).

    To Naldo:
I don´t know the player, but if Thomas Schaaf is sure,
that he will help Werder, he should come.
Also think, that Werder learned from the Nery thing and won´t make the same mistake twice.

Hey gang.. it is probably time to start another Bremen thread.

Once threads reach 500 posts we like to start another one....something about keeping the servers happy. I will let one of you guys do the honors! :)

"Eisenfuß" Eilts...welcome to the German Boards and Big Soccer.

When one sees lists like the one Eisenfuss posted, one realizes what good summer transfers they have made. They could well be the closest challengers to Bayern next season, in my opinion it's between them and Schalke for that "honour".

On another note, i agree with DeadFingers, it's time now for a new 05/06 thread.
