How does Netherlands go into a QF with a game plan to only generate one shot attempt? In what world is this acceptable? I don't understand teams that get this far and then decide "nah, we don't need to shoot the ball" Also - I saw the Macedonia handball resurface. 100% a handball directly leading to a goal. it's ludacris no VAR was initiated. All that said, we deserved to miss the world cup. the handball was not the reason, technically the goal should have been disallowed, but our fate was already sealed for being a stupid, stupid team led by an idiotic a$$clown.

Survival and it worked for Croatia. Holland were maybe a little more progressive. I blame Horjinho too. This is why you never want to let it go to refs or alternative fake refs in the sky, because then they can determine your fate. They even went to check VAR and decided no intention? Bullcrap. By not taking their chances, Italy let themselves get screwed. They were screwed on that decision. That's for sure.
I can't stand Brazil's diving and play acting. Their calcio this WC was so badly overrated. It's as if people wanted them to be dominant and they never really were. Good riddance. Kudos to Croatia. After Brazil scored, I told my wife that Croatia was going to tie it up and win. She said "why?" I said "Because they have BIG BALLS." The Croatians have faced war, death, horrible conditions after the war, persecution, etc. They aren't afraid or intimidated. They also have quite a bit of skill at various positions including Modric who looks 28 again. I hope Croatia send Messi home crying the way they sent that diving Neymar back in tears.

I was most disappointed to see Moderic resorting to a body check and stamp on his young Madrid teammate Rodrygo as the youngster was dangerously breaking through midfield .. the kid limped away from the cynical challenge as well .. what happened to his classy nice guy image ?
