Might as well make a thread devoted to this seeing as every time this guy gets healthy, he always gets some sort of injury again: LINK He will be out for at least a month this time, because a muscle injury which kept him from playing earlier in the season has come back to annoy him.
He got surgery in the hospital where my mother works. She's been a medic just about all her life so she does know what she's talking about. She said that they have had to remove so much from his knee that he will probably keep a very fragile knee for the rest of his career, making injuries like these very common. Ajax should really think if vd Vaart is worth that top salary that they (otherwise) should give him. If he's not they have to keep quiet and sell him for a lot of cash. BTW Didulica rejected a 2-year offer from Ajax. The little s.h.i.t wants to keep a good season in the CL and then try his luck in Spain. That's a pretty big mouth after keeping two very good matches. Having all these injuries doesn't really help with his raise in salary demand, that's for sure. In the friendly against some German team today, Didulica was the only player left on the bench the entire game (even Machlas played for God's sake ) Not sure if this was to keep him fit for the real games, or a sign of things to come for the goalie the rest of the season.
