    Advert for State Farm playing on Spanish networks. Cute commercial. El tri fans in the US worst nightmare.

    I'm convinced that people who make soccer highlight videos have the worst taste in music out of the entire population. I think 1 out of every 100 or so videos is tolerable.

    Awesome run though.

    augh. Was trying to find a place to post this. Maybe not the *best* venue, but I had to get it off my chest.

    I HATE the new ESPN FC webpage. Looks like a shitty facebook setup for farsighted geriatrics.

    I just listened to that podcast. It was quite good. It's a 20-something minute podcast, but you only need to listen to the first 9 and a half minutes to get all of the US bits. Taylor Twellman talked alot on it. Gave a good answer on the last question about whether or not it was "fair" that there were 5 German-Americans on the team.

    This is social Media, but I don't know if anyone saw this pic: Yedlin hanging out with the Euro kids (seems like Julian gels with them by that hashtag);

    yedlinnyHad a great time with @timothychandler26@j_brooks25@aronjo and Julian at Universal Studios in Orlando! Julian said we wouldn't get wet on Jurrasic Park... We got soaked #usa#jurassicpark#nevertrustjulian

    Watching that last Episode of Inside, I think some of this is more about the players. You can tell it really boosts them up. We have come a long way in that regard since 1990.

    That part with Howard was awesome. He was talking about Lalas saying we wouldn't get out of the group, and you could tell that he and the guys were pissed off by that. Honestly, in his face you could see that it angered and motivated him. Then he came out and said that no one's opinions about this team matter, they know what they are capable of. It's also been showing me how close knit the guys are

    Lawyer here, not IT guy. Aren't these designs set up for ease of providing content to mobile devices?

    I think you might be right. Although, what is the purpose of creating apps if you try to do this.

    Yes. That and because simplicity and clean UIs and layouts are very "in" right now.

    drives me nuts though. I can't look at it in a small window, and it really makes me feel like I'm reading the large-print books from the retirement center.

    I hate it too, but mobile-readability has taken precedence over pretty much all else so get used to it! :D

    I got a Samsung Note II so that I could read normal web pages on my phone! This completely defeats my rationale.

    It's the new trend in web development. It's about making it viewable on multiple devices. The boxes slide down on a phone, but basically the phone and a PC now access the same information and there is a one site fits all devices concept at work.

    The end result, though, is lowest common denominator is the phone. Anyone viewing it on a larger screen, like a PC, will see a simple design with oversized text that looks like it was "setup for farsighted geriatrics."

    Phones rule the web going forward. Not much you can do about it if you are old school and use a larger more powerful device.
