You know whose media doesn't act like they are "just happy to be able to play against these guys?" Chile..who are ranked exactly 1 spot ahead of us after passing us up last month. The understanding of where they are and the attitude they should have is night and day compared to the jackasses covering our team. I honestly wish we could just stage a coup of these networks, put intelligent BS posters in the booth, design the commercials, etc. It would be a significant upgrade to what we've seen over the last month.

Someone could tell me that those guys were all brothers a year apart each and I would believe them if I didn't know any different.
Sorry, but that is the 2014 version of the Landon/water fountain and Pablo in tight pants shoot of 2002.
Alexi Lalas on the local sports station here in Dallas yesterday. http://p1sforsoccertalk.wordpress.com/2014/05/30/alexi-lalas-on-badd-radio/
The Team USA thing doesn't bother me. Our US Basketball and US Hockey teams are called Team USA also.
anybody see the show on espn from Times Square? Apparently Twellman and Lalas pronounced that the team wouldn't make it out of the group with the team right there behind them?
I saw the last 30 minutes there are snippets on the espnfc.com website, I did see Lalas make his prediction, but I heard him say the same things before. Takes some guts and maybe its a little bit of 'bulletin board' material, we've already seen that kind of stuff motivated Bradley, but that was with his dad involved so it was personal.
That ESPNFC sendoff was great in intent, atrocious in execution. I'm getting sick of ESPN ignoring any and all of our German-Americans. They act like they don't even exist. Interview JJ, interview Fabian, acknowledge their existence. AJ got zero recognition at all. Neither did Mix. Yet, they spent time on Wondo and Davis, as if they contributed more this cycle than JJ or Fabian. They interviewed just about every player for us who grew up here and ignored every player who grew up abroad. And Julie Foudy is an embarrassment. Loved the energy of the crowd, loved the intent of the sendoff, but ESPN dropped the ball on this.
I guess we should be pleased that we've progressed to the point in this country that ESPN is screwing things like that up as opposed to not having them at all. But yeah...focusing on Wondo and Davis (only one of which are even interesting ESPNy stories) and ignoring 1/3 of our roster, including a handful of starters, is just poor.
