Turks in N. Iraq = Disaster. To quote an analyst I heard on NPR the other day, "The only thing the Kurds hate and fear worse than Saddam Hussien is the Turks." Those two will be at each other's throats from the word, Go. And we will be stuck in the middle, dammed whatever we do.
The Kurds are the new Jews (A liquidation coming soon to a war near you) or the new Poles (caught between a rock and a hard place.) I feel bad for them.
but we support the freedom of the people of Iraq. that's what my president tells me. so why don't we support freedom anymore for the group in Iraq that already has a fair degree of freedom? i'm sooo confused!
Have I mentioned that when I'm president, I will authorize the State Department in the name of the United States to deliver to Kurdistan the message "Hey, man, we're really, really sorry" every fifteen minutes until they find it in their hearts to forgive us?
