These were left in this forum by FSW Producer MLSWrap@foxsportsworld.com comments@foxsportsworld.com Is there a chance of bringing back the old EPL show host Lionel B?I'm not even going to try to spell his name.He was entertaining and ran a pretty cool show. Any chance of a weekly English 1st division match of the week?I felt this would have been popular even before my beloved Hammers dropped. I'm glad that you have Spanish football.I wish you still had the Dutch,French,Italian and Colombian leagues. Are there plans in the works to maybe include the Mexican league?I know I can get the Italian league on the International channel but I don't get the Spanish channel that carries the MFL. Which leads me to my next question. Is FSW successful enough to look into a possible FSW2 addition?I'd love to see an all football channel with all of the other sports and some football thrown on FSW2.Cricket ain't my thang, but I've become a fan of rugby(LOVED the late night live matches from New Zealand,Australia and South Africa),Gaelic games and I've always loved watching....... ....Australian rules football!!!This needs to be shown more often. The highlight show is cool but I'd almost rather see another match instead. It's a very gripping sport and I'm glad you guys still carry it. I like MLS wrap but would like to see more highlights start earlier in the play.I kept thinking that while watching the German league highlight show.It might help kill off an hour when you are only covering 3 to 5 games. Your station kicks ass and I hope you have competition in the future. PEACE
Won't happen because they still have too many holes in the lineup. Hence, 'paid programming'. Watching La Liga on FSW is like watching Sunderland, West Ham, West Brom, etc., play week after week. It's like getting the EPL rights, but unable to feature ManUtd and Arse. But why feature the likes of Recreativo Huelva & other losers? at the very least, FSW should show a La Liga fixture highlighted by the likes of a Depor, Valencia, Sociedad.
Actually, I've seen Valencia what? 2 out of the last 3 weeks or something? Despite the paucity of Madrid, Barca and Depor, I still love the La Liga games.
Good thread Baked. Hey Fox Sports World producer, Seconding Baked's "Can we get English First division games?" - we need it. Signed Hammers fan. New question: How about replays of the A-League games? Can we get some of this action? La Liga: Do what you can. Netherlands: I miss my Dutch fix, please help. I would be happy to see soccer from any country, but with the Yanks making the moves into Denmark (Barrett and Jordan) and I'm sure the rights are cheap. Hell give me anything, I really don't care. Just keep showing stuff, except that Bob guy who loses his shorts in the pool. He scares me.
Better yet, how about the West Ham Game of the Week? --Bob doesn't scare me quite as much as his eerily smiling wife
Actually this is quite a good idea. Imagine the new fan base you would get, all those Anti-Man U hating fans would jump on the bandwagon. I could help set this up FSW Producer, and its not like WHU doesn't need the money. West Ham game of the Week. --- Bob scares me - that smile, and his wife's smile - well that spooks me.
If Serie A games are too expensive, why not try to get the rights to the England based Serie A highlights show Calcio Italia on Channel 4.
That's a great idea, but since it isn't on Sky Sports I'm sure they can't do it. I'd be happy with Serie B games (although I'm happy Sampdoria was promoted).
Hey guys, I will always answer PMs to the best of my ability if you'll contact me that way (especially from fellow Hammers fans).
Lionel Bienvenu is staying in Denver (I hope!) - he is our only local link to the EPL. He is also one of the FEW footy-friendly reporters around here.
Re: Re: The UNOFFICIAL "Questions and comments for FSW Producer" thread Maybe they could fly him in for the MLS Wrap show? I think Sean is pretty good, but Lionel is just smooth. Back in New Orleans he didn't cover the Gamblers or Storm very much, but I think that was a decision by management.
Re: Re: Re: The UNOFFICIAL "Questions and comments for FSW Producer" thread I think he should take Rongondino's spot. No need for him to travel then.
Why? The current EPL Review show is much much better then the old one that FSW made. Keep it the way it is. Only thing I would love to see, is a studio, where you have someone talking before the game, halftime and after the game so its not all those stupid commericals at HALFTIME. How can i get excited about the 2nd half at 8am watching 60yo women talking about how they wanna have better sex?????? Use the MLS studio that Harkes and the other dude use, hire people who know their stuff and begin games 15 minutes earlier for Bundesliga/La Liga and stuff and have the studio guys talk, in pre game, halftime and post game reports. For EPL games, cant they just show the pre-game and post-game show from the channel that the match is shown on in England?? Those things are all i want! But whatever you do, KEEP BUNDESLIGA ON!!
fox lingo when are your anchors/announcers going to start speaking in "american" english and stop using terms like whilst, pitch, nil and all the other britspeak that has absolutely nothing to do with soccer?
Here's one: you know when you show Sky Sports News or the World Report, and you tell us that it's "Previously Recorded"? Well, could you not put the words "Previously Recorded" over the trailer on the bottom during Sky Sports News, because it cut off key parts of some of the news messages.
Dear FSW Producer, Has Sean ever said to John, "You had me at 'Hello'"? Inquiring minds want to know.
FSW needs to start showing Kirsty's Home videos or whatever Sky Sports show she is doing now. It'd be a ratings winner.
It's not a matter of being with you. I just assumed that nobody in their right mind would be against it.
