I can see both sides…the Supremes are pro Trump second. Before that, they’re pro Epstein Class. If the Epstein Class weighs in that this policy is hurting stonks, the Supremes will rule against Mullin. That’s how I “predict” Supreme Court decisions and that never lets me down.
Since that is obviously using the federal government to target blue states for punishment, it opens the door for blue states to stop funding the federal government in response, no? I don't think these morons ever consider even the most immediate implications of their stupid MAGA policies.
https://www.democracydocket.com/new...ate-voter-data-to-dhs-then-admitted-it-would/ I don’t have much to add that the article title doesn’t say. Impressed that they got the DOJ to fess up.
Also, I can't even imagine the chaos at airports that have to implement that policy. And let's say they do somehow manage to deny entry to international travelers without crashing the whole thing, then what? Is the US going to detain all foreigners at these airports? Move them to ICE detention centers? Have planes ready and available to send them all back as they land? Again, these idiots have nothing beyond their initial hare-brained proposals to get MAGAs all frothy at the mouth.
Completely aside from MAGA’s ideology, there is the issue of its methods. MAGA politicians excel at massaging the dopamine receptors of their followers. It’s almost always a MAGAn’s goal. Policy is barely relevant. Remember Madison Cawthorn? One thing he did was only hire comms people to lead his DC and regional offices. He didn’t care about policy. In that way, he’s a pure distillation of the MAGA/politics-as-pro-wrestling type.
Havent heard much about the Minnesota ICE murderers with all the wars and chaos. But I found this. With Blanche coming in the odds of the state getting any evidence seems even less likely. Minnesota sues to obtain evidence in shootings by federal officers during ICE surge Nation Mar 24, 2026 5:12 PM EDT WASHINGTON (AP) — Minnesota officials sued the Trump administration on Tuesday for access to evidence they say they need to independently investigate three shootings by federal officers, including the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. The lawsuit claims that the federal government reneged on its promise to cooperate with state investigations after the surge of federal law enforcement in Minneapolis, and are seeking a court order demanding that the Trump administration comply. "We are prepared to fight for transparency and accountability that the federal government is desperate to avoid," Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty told reporters. The lawsuit marks an escalation in the clash between Minnesota leaders and the Trump administration over the investigations into the high-profile shootings by federal officers that sparked public outcry and protests. The Trump administration has suggested that Minnesota officials don't have jurisdiction to investigate, but state officials insist they need to conduct their own probes because they don't trust the federal government to investigate itself. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation...hootings-by-federal-officers-during-ice-surge
It is infringing on business activity with no national security implications. On top of that, it's vindictive, and will get struck down on those lines.
I'm not. In part because they are being done state by state so there are a lot of people who have to say the same line to every single court, and also because those ASA are going to be overworked and tired and even if they are professional and experienced, will inadvertently drop some information that they might otherwise want to keep hidden. And some will know that if they lie to the court, that could harm or end their careers.
And I think of Cawthorn regularly when we talk about messaging. He had no policy, and look at where he is now.
Don't think this was posted...It's not just ICE who are armed and masked. https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/new-video-shows-masked-phoenix-cop-armed-student-ice-protest Two sources confirmed that Sgt. Mullen was seen on cellphone video captured on Jan. 30 with his face fully covered, wearing a baseball hat and armed with a holstered handgun. The police report reveals he also had two extra handgun magazines on his other hip. ... Chandler Police said this created a tense situation as students became agitated and thought Mullen was an ICE agent. The video also appears to show that an officer advised Mullen to protest elsewhere, as stated in the police report. According to Chandler PD, Mullen said he had others coming to support him, some armed with rifles—quoted by police saying his plan was to let protesters assault him and have them arrested on film, with the goal to "get all these kids in jail if they want to break the law." "You know he came there with a loaded gun with multiple magazines. That is highly inappropriate for any law enforcement to be in such such a place where children are protesting that is weird," Chandler Councilmember OD Harris said. "That is very, very weird." A police sergeant trying to instigate protesting high school students? What a turd, and also not surprising.
Did we know the attorney general can just fire immigration judges? Because 2 of them that rules in favor of Palestinians just got fired. This has a gift link to the article https://balloon-juice.com/2026/04/1...d-to-change-as-soon-as-we-get-the-reins-back/
Where do people get this idea that states collect federal tax money and then write a check to the government? Like explain a plausible mechanism whereby a blue state can stop “funding” the federal government?
Immigration judges are basically immigration lawyers that have the title of immigration judge. But they never got through some process to get Senate approved or vote into office.
