Yeah, imagine Taiwan’s coast bristling with drones and rockets and missiles, then imagine being a Chinese soldier in a boat trying to invade Taiwan. Chinese casualties would be astronomical.
Or at least ask him, hey, you're second in line for the Presidency, don't you think you should be up to date on current events in case bad things happen to Trump and Vance?
Pretty sure that question would result in the journalist being tackled and arrested for threatening the life of the President, terrorism, being communist socialist fascist trans antifa thug.
Not really discounting any of what you are saying here, but this is drifting from my initial point that the danger presented by Xi is overstated.
If you watch the video above, the bold is exactly what was done, and he still said "I have not seen them step over the line." Now, somebody should have asked a follow up as to why that is not over the line, or what he would would consider over the line. But the question did exactly what it should have done, and Johnson gave his stock answer. The answer is what needs to be called out.
Didn't see that but some No Kings protestors went to the ICE facility after to dance and mock ICEholes 6:30 p.m. As the rain continued, federal officers pitched two tents on the ICE facility’s roof where many of them had been stationed throughout the evening. Protesters could be overheard making fun of the officers for not being able to handle Portland’s rain. https://www.oregonlive.com/portland...athers-outside-portland-ice-live-updates.html

ICE agents shot an immigrant and a US marshall at a traffic stop in LA. ICE claims the immigrant rammed their vehicles in an attempt to flee a traffic stop and they were "forced" to open fire to protect themselves. https://www.waff.com/2025/10/21/us-...gration-enforcement-operation-la-reports-say/

Posting here, though could go in a couple of threads. From Roger Parloff, of Lawfare. Tho full 9th Cir voted not to rehear the panel ruling in Newsom v Trump yesterday (permitting federalization of national guard in L.A.), 11 judges said it was "fundamentally erroneous" & that the deployment was based on "unsupported assertions of crime & disorder." ...
Can't find it, but I'm quite sure that this ruling had an effect on Trump saying he wanted to sent troops to San Francisco. And then withdrawing that decision.
Since I was confused, I looked up why the 9th Circuit refused to rehear the 3-judge panel's lifting of the stay and, yet, the statement was calling it erroneous and the deployment was based on unsupported assertions. The reason is because that is from the "Dissent" who wanted the full court to rehear the decision to lift the stay. So, the end point is that Trump's federalization of the NG in LA is allowed.
Is this being done shithole city by shithole city? Or is the SC just going to eventually give him blanket King Powers? Thought they already did that in 2024
Polka dot dress lady in NYC not having it. Best part is she looks like she's either on her way to work or going home from work. And still like "nah, F these ICE mf'ers" https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8AEbN19/
Depends on if CA goes to the SC on appeal. Right now we have dueling Circuits with the 9th saying the courts need to defer to the President on these actions, while the 11th is saying "F**k that, the President the law is clear and requires there to be a rebellion. Protests, even if they have sporadic violence, do not make a rebellion.
