Oh, I do. But here's the thing:

Likewise: I've never seen one of these in real life. I tend to believe that the vast majority I encounter online are not real, but most likely bots or paid agitators.

    Agreed

Sometimes he does. Other times it’s just some out of context tweet from @noseupmyownass3784.

The "Left" Joe Rogan's are all like that. That is why is though for Democrats to get good coverage on-line.

For what I have seen, the most popular lefty online streamers are either very woke or very socialist.

The space is still very dominated by the right.

Cheez is a "Democrat" who just rags on Democrats. Basically like a ____ (pick an ethnicity) mother angrily waving around a rolling pin at the youngins in the house for being out of control.

I like his posts. I think there's valid criticism of "our side" (whether you call it the Left, or Democrats, or liberals, or whatever) and it doesn't hurt to hear some of that criticism within our echo chamber. But some of that criticism appears to be astroturf. Like, most Bernie supporters shut up when their guy lost and voted for Hillary in the general election in 2016, but there were a handful of loud activists who said they weren't going to support Hillary who got all the attention. We don't need to keep hearing from a handful of dead enders.

I mostly do not. We're currently in the most fascist period in American history with a complete nutter who has zero guardrails. But sure, let's worry about the feefees of the oppressors when immigrant rallies fly Mexican flags as the Libruls, POC, immigrants & LGBTQ+ people around us are being degraded daily on Truth Social. That'll teach Democrats!

Like standing outside your house in your robe as it's burning down & your spouse says "I really wish you had gotten around to painting those shutters"

There was another poster who exactly this, criticized the protestors in LA for flying Mexican flags, and I noticed no criticism from you. If you are going to shit on one poster for a specific reason, be consistent about that reason. But if you don't like Ceez because you don't like him, don't make excuses. Put him on ignore.

Chelsea match. I have seen them on a few US Summer tours. Baltimore, NY and Orlando. Chelsea always packed a stadium.

I’m not as down on city Dems as ceez is, but the Detroit City Council for instance, doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. And they do have some of that leftist thinking. And then of course, there’s also Kwame Kilpatrick, who makes Eric Adams look like a saint. At least Adams doesn’t have a rumored murder hanging over him like Kwame.

It’s a long way from Monica Conyers (who was married to a congressman nearly 40 years older than her) calling another council member “Shrek” (there’s video), not to mention her felony charges, but they’re still useless. They took their time issuing dispensary licenses that businesses in Detroit were getting angry with them. The reasoning was an equity program. The sort of thing that belongs in grad school.

It’s also why I’m not exactly enthused with the Detroit mayoral candidates. The frontrunner, Mary Sheffield is a known activist type and I’m worried she’s going to piss off any businesses that want to invest in Detroit. The rest are either meh, inexperienced, or just hopeless (James Craig come on down.)

BTW, we should have created a no kings march thread, so we could post stuff that is not totally immigration related, like this.

The problem is that they are vocal and have a tendency to drag Dems down with their own brand of crazy. I mentioned the Detroit City Council for instance because they do have some leftist ideas that would backfire on a national level, state level even.

We do have our own kooks, and they do drag us down. We just can’t act like we don’t have them.

Took my mom out for our normal Sunday dinner, and there was a Gold Cup match on. I had forgotten that both tournaments were played at the same time, and in the same country. On top of MLS. And with the European club and country seasons only a couple/few weeks from having ended, it just feels like oversaturation. Both for watching the sport, but also for paying to watch (in the stadium). Until the semi-finals of the CWC, I don't expect a lot of massive crowds. Personally, I would really like to see both Mexican clubs make it to the semis.

Or a more general protest thread as there have been multiple already this year, and we are not even 6 months into Trump reign.

I know quite a few like that in real life. Online they talk a tough game but in real life they’re a different matter. I do know two people who boasted about calling tourists in DC “colonizers” when they were visiting museums. I was also yelled at by socialists at a DCFC game last summer when I told them no thanks.

I think it depends on the circles one runs in. I’ve mentioned the family friend who wouldn’t vote for Hillary because she’s “neoliberal.”

I do think Bernie’s people did cause problems for us, especially in 2016.

they do, unlike the unicorn (to quote Zappa) exist. And they do set us back.

Hispanic voters across the country swung sharply toward Trump in 2024, but this shift wasn’t uniform. Salvadoran and Dominican communities (mainly found in the Northeast) saw the biggest moves toward Trump, while Puerto Ricans and non-border Mexicans shifted much less.

Nazi in MO are sent back home. These guys cosplay tough, but like Trump, they are some TACO lovin' muther********ers. Got back in their truck and went home. Love the masks by the way. Wasn't this the crowd that was like, "I can't breath in this mask...bwaaa, don't make me, it's too hard."

What is said yesterday, doesn't mean anything today. The chaos continues. Complete circus. Trump has no spine.

The Trump administration is reportedly reversing a recently formulated plan to refrain from conducting immigration raids against undocumented migrants in the agricultural, hotel, and restaurant industries, just days after adopting the original policy.

The Department of Homeland Security announced the return to raids on such workers on a Monday morning call with representatives from 30 Immigration and Customs Enforcement field offices, The Washington Post reports.
