They don't need to get the message. To conservatives, and probably a fairly high percentage of White Christians, a Running Man game that helps eliminate POCs is a positive in the overall...

Like this person, who earned her MS and PhD in South Dakota? But she's from India and has a moving violation, so deport her.

An international student in South Dakota, who earned two degrees amid her fight against the Trump administration’s attempt to deport her, has been granted injunction.

Priya Saxena, who’s from India, received a doctorate in chemical and biological engineering and a master’s in chemical engineering from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology this past weekend. Just over a month ago, Saxena had been notified that her visa and status in the country had been revoked.

Saxena’s attorney, Jim Leach, told NBC News that her sole infraction was for a failure-to-yield to an emergency vehicle from four years ago, which he described as “the lowest possible traffic offense.”

Today I learned there's a new movie version of The Running Man being made, scheduled for release later this year. It's supposed to be closer to the original Stephen King book, in which the contestant can run and hide anywhere in the country, and members of the public get a bounty for snitching on the contestant's location to the hunters, who are not cartoonish gimmicks like in the 1987 movie.

And in retrospect, the 1987 movie was horribly unrealistic, in that it depicted a propaganda-driven authoritarian regime which was brought down by the good guys just getting the truth out one time. As we have seen in the last few years, you can shout the truth from the rooftops, but supporters of a propaganda-driven authoritarian regime will continue to support the propaganda-driven authoritarian regime, presumably because they like the authoritarian aspects of the propaganda-driven authoritarian regime.

Supreme Court rules 7-2 that the admin wasn't providing sufficient due process, following up on its April 19 per curiam opinion. Also notable is that the opinion calls out the admin for dishonestly about the timing of the events leading up to that first order. Also throws some shade at the district court and the Fifth Circuit for how they characterized some of the facts.

How much do you have to screw up for this SC to call you out on misrepresenting the facts?

Ok, the guy who pitched the show is a Canadian immigrant who gave us the Duck Dynasty franchise.

He pitched the idea to both Obama and Biden but they turned him down.

    I can’t imagine why. :mad::rolleyes::confused:

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/su...otected-status-thousands-venezuela-rcna205657

The Supreme Court on Monday gave the Trump administration the green light to revoke special legal protections for thousands of Venezuelan immigrants, which could pave the way for them to be deported.

The high court granted an emergency application filed by the administration, meaning officials can move forward with reversing a decision made at the tail end of the Biden administration to extend protections for almost 350,000 Venezuelans under the federal Temporary Protected Status program.

The brief order noted that liberal Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson would have denied the application. Litigation will now continue in lower courts.

Order was written by Kagan, but only means that the government can move forward. It doesn't mean that the decision permanent.

    HASSAN: What is habeas corpus?

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country

    HASSAN: That's incorrect

This is from the hearing going on right now.
