Do you agree that the President does not have the power to reverse laws, so every time you have made this argument it has been ridiculous?

Why would I bet someone on the internet whom I have never met when I don't make bets even with friends?

Republicans are doing to gay rights exactly what they did to Roe v Wade. Chip away, chip away, chip away until there is are favorable court cases that can strip the foundational decision. There are currently cases making their way through that would chip away and even overturn Obergefell. But the Respect for Marriage Act that Biden signed into law would preserve marriages, but there are loopholes that would allow states to no longer perform marriages.

In the next 4 years I do believe the Supreme Court will either chip away at gay rights or overturn foundational cases that will allow Congress to do so. I also believe a Republican Congress will also chip away at gay rights and possibly try to overturn the Respect for Marriage Act.

 

They don't want to accept that things will be fine. It screws their doom and gloom narrative.
