Here's some former (still?) Republicans discussing the topic before he did it.

But let's not forget your orange convicted felon pardoned the people who committed an insurrection, attacked law enforcement, vandalized the Capitol, etc. How conveniently you totally ignore that and support the felon. So please, drop the faux "I care about justice" schtick - it's all a lie in support of fascism.

Because if the last 4 months have shown anything, it's that Mangolini is a vindicative, narcissistic, petty, insane, mentally sick and severely broken human being.

FFS, he issued a ********ing Executive Order already to go after a political enemy who stood up to him. He's demented.

Looking at this thing chronologically… it is not I that is suddenly concerned with ‘justice’

Biden and his family had been grifting before the Orange Menace ever descended down the elevator

And yet Trump Inc. makes more money off the office in a month than the Bidens did over decades.

Scale is a thing in law and in life.

We don't jail people for Jay walking. We have different lengths of prison sentences for assault versus murder. Etc...

This whataboutism from Trumpistan is ridiculous.

The article you cited specifically states: "Yet Hur concluded that 'the evidence does not establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.'

Just to be clear, you said he has been "grifting before the Orange Menace". When asked for evidence of illegal activity, you cited one thing that Trump far exceeded him in, yet you don't seem to care about that at all, and something that every president has done since the Reagan administration according to the NY Post (I tried to use a reference you would like).

Trump was convicted of 34 felonies by a jury of his peers. Your demonstration of supposed illegal activity by Biden does not establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

That's a big fail on your part. Maybe if you didn't have TDS you would have a clearer understanding of all this.

He reasoned that “at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” In Hur’s view, “it would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him—by then a former president well into his eighties—of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”

Quite the Catch-22s you have then. If you want to treat Biden as a criminal you then have to add more federal crimes to Trump's list of 34 felonies he's already been found guilty of committing. Thus, in order to say Biden is a criminal you have to recognize Trump as an even greater criminal. But you can't actually demonstrate Biden has done any crime in a court of law because Republicans have long argued Biden was not mentally competent, so if you do bring it to trial it will be obvious to everyone Republicans have been lying and Trump will also have to go to trial for the exact same thing, thereby adding to his already 34 felony convictions. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

If Biden committed a crime by accidentally having a few documents in his personal records (as we all found out, these kinds of accidents are disturbingly common) then isn’t Trump guilty of greater crimes for his coverup of what at best was an accident on his part? When one of these fascists brings up Biden and documents, it’s an assertion of power on the fascist’s part. It’s an act of aggression.

This is what fascists do, it’s the core of fascism, to obliterate true and false as concepts. Marek isn’t having a discussion where he’s advancing a viewpoint on, say the proper size of the US military, or the proper balance between federal power and state power.

No, @marek is acting like a mini Goebbels*, propagandizing in the most amoral way possible.

*who was Mussolini’s Goebbels, because Mussolini is probably a better historical analogue, but Italians Fascists are a lot less famous than German Nazis so I can only name Benito#

#I’m guessing parents stopped naming their kids Adolf in Germany and Austria after Hitler. Do Italians still name boys Benito? That would suck for the poor sap whose hypertraditional parents named him Adolf Schwartz the 4th, or Benito Rossi the 5th, when they were born in 1947 or whatever.
