We took moves to Trump-proof our portfolio (my wife and I are semi-retired, she's 70 and I'm 63 years and 357 days old). Our guy didn't entirely agree since we were already low to medium risk, but that's what we did. I was glad to hear from my older brother, a former accountant and comptroller, that he did the same thing with his (much heftier) portfolio.
Yes, on a 1 to 5 risk scale, I was around a 4 across the board. Just moved 50% to a 1 and 50% to a 3. Trump proofing. He is simply too volatile and emotional.
It's throwing money at a problem with no results and the only thing it did was get politicians who didn't solve the problem elected as they virtue single.
The homelessness problem is that nobody on the political spectrum favors an evidence based approach. Not the left, the right, or the middle. California is statistically the epicenter of homelessness in the US. There are two reasons for this…it’s a f***ing awesome place to live, which means there is high demand and therefore high costs for housing. The other is that for 1 good reason (earthquakes) and a bunch of bad reasons California never builds enough housing. It’s pretty much the only policy position I can think of where Texas is smarter than Cali. Since this is the Trump supporter thread, I’m going to ask what Trump’s solution to homelessness is, because I am too mature to burn ants with a magnifying glass nowadays. So asking his fans to articulate his policy positions is the next best thing.
Tulsi Gabbard and Joe Kent led an effort to alter intel reports in order to insulate Trump from blame. Do Trump supporters disagree with altering intel reports to something fake, in order to protect the administration from political and legal fallout? I think it’s bad because I value the truth, but how do Germy and The Philly Fascist feel about it? https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/20/...e_code=1.I08.RXrx.tyXVcJWM1X4q&smid=url-share
Wildfire danger and water scarcity are just as relevant as earthquake danger. We probably shouldn’t have houses a lot of places that we currently do, and we shouldn’t rebuild in those places when they inevitably burn.
We don’t have enough information to say there were no results, it’s just as possible that homelessness would have gotten even worse without that money, and there are too many factors in play to say for certain one way or the other. With housing loss due to wildfires along with the hits of Covid and opioid abuse the numbers of homeless in California have been on the upswing regardless.
Unhinged libs gonna unhinged lib couple posters in this thread I could imagine doing this 1925322075335733353 is not a valid tweet id
So what is worse: Sniffing kid's hair, or grabbing girls by their vaginas? It would be helpful to know where your redline is for sexual assault.
The worst part is MAGA is talking about how the economy has recovered, and how tariffs are way down from "Liberation Day" yet, they seem not to realize that tarrifs are still 20%+ higher than they have been historically, so the crash is coming in trade. I applaud companies like Walmart who are informing their customers truthfully about the effect of tariffs on prices and who pays them -- giving then a lesson in how much Trump lies about literally everything.
The mainstream media doesn’t want you to see this thing that was broadcast in the mainstream media! Which is where I found the clip! Also, anecdotes Trump data! You’re stupid. Aren’t you embarrassed? I know I would be.
Your posts sound like you’re using a random cliche generator that have no relation to what they’re responding to.
They've got nothing. They (should) know Trump's plan is to stop paying the rent for everyone who relies on section 8 vouchers (HUD) to keep a roof over their heads. Trump budget would slash federal rental aid by 40% : NPR
