We were talking about Ukraine. Focus on Ukraine. Can you focus on a single topic or are you too forgetful

I definitely wouldn't have sent my kid there if the sniffer in chief was still in office.

It amazes me you haven't moved out of California to Florida or Texas. That's some impressive dedication to trolling the libs.

Not when you're such a hypocrite? You don't give a crap about Ukraine. Europe buys more in energy from Russia then they give to Ukraine in aid. Where is the protesters to buying Russian energy across Europe?

no, I blamed the Bernie bros. We have a lot of work to do to get our house on order. Democrats can’t stick together when it matters, way too many single issue voters and extreme agendas.

Oh I hate hurricanes and humid weather. I endure the gross mismangement of state resources because I grew up here, love the weather and can afford to live in a safe suburb (leans R obviously).

Sanctions weren't about stopping Russia from buying things domestically they were about stopping international parts from getting into Russia and it worked that's why Russia's economy sucks, part fifty

The state leans D…including the “safer suburbs”…I’m surprised you don’t know this. You’re probably someone who pretends to be liberal when he’s out and about, and not cosplaying a maga nutter online.

A lot of assumptions here, but with you, that's par for the course.

In case you care (you likely don't), my city council leans R, and my congressional district is a toss-up. A bunch of Teslas on my cul-de-sac.

Same thing in both parties. The party has moved to the Bernie bros. That's the problem and you can't understand the rest of the country outside of the east and west coast doesn't embrace it. California is the poster child for failed Democrat policies.

Imagine if they cut off their biggest export but they've only reduced what they purchase. They still have spent hundreds of billions on energy.

Well it’s a big beautiful Blue state and always will be. I’ve moved up the coast to another Blue state but will always love CA, in part for its liberal policies, even if they do miss the mark occasionally.

Oh I love my state too, despite its faults in the state capital and some of the crazy shit they do and believe.

I'm fortunate to live in an area where liberals and conservatives get along just fine, and while we all pay high state taxes which fund a lot of crazy woke shit, our local leadership has made our city a wonderful place to raise a family, as long as Sacramento doesn't meddle too much.

It's not going away and the folks who covered it up are not going to cash in on it.

Right, because they aren't buying drones from Iran and getting soldiers from North Korea with that money. They aren't using it to pay soldiers and keep the economy going for the last three years.

Occasionally? You spend on the homeless and it's gotten worse. You spent on a bullet train and no train. You have the highest taxes and a housing problem. You had a surplus and now a deficit. You couldn't put out a fire because the mayor left during fire season, someone thought no water wasn't a problem and so far less than 20 permits to rebuild have been issued.

Liberals think allowing massive homeless camps with urine and feces saturated sidewalks with needles strewn about is "compassion" in the "beautiful blue state". Many parts are beautiful, but not those places where most people actually live and work and go to school.

Conservatives think rehabilitation funding with strict financial audits and work requirements are a better option. Where I live we have a conservative city council and zero homeless camps.

California has always been seen as a land of milk and honey, warm weather and movie stars, and a place to start over (it was for me), it gets more than its fair share of drifters, and other states are all too happy to help facilitate the migration. Some make it, some fall into darkness and despair. But the homeless problem is a tough one and the states’ response has been a mixed bag. It’s a growing problem and it’s extremely costly, but there are no easy answers. Places in California that are more affluent tend see less homelessness (go figure) but R’s have no answers beyond NIMBY and “bootstraps”…at least Democrats are trying to find a compassionate solution.

You're correct. They're not. Not anywhere near enough to fight a modern war. That's why, despite outnumbering Ukraine's population 5 to 1 and economy 10 to 1, they are fought to a standstill.

No, Californians want to know where all the money is going that they approved for the homeless at the ballot box.

Simply saying "No idea, it's a tough issue" ain't gonna fly.

When Californians approve billions for homeless support and they see the problem getting worse, they are going to be less likely to approve it the next time Democrats in liberal cities ask for it.

It was Republican for the longest time. Now that the Governor is done he is trying to clean up the problem just like he did during the visit from China.

there needs to be accountability built in but mostly you’re talking about people like yourself who want to use the issue as a political football, people who’ve never really grappled with the issue and have no realistic ideas on what to do and typically have zero compassion for people living outdoors.

What have you done to help address the issue besides whine and cry about it online?

More assumptions. You're really good at this!

My wife's work has a lot of homeless on the streets nearby and the Metro station there is notorious for drugs and crime. Back in the day I used to take the Metro rail to LAFC games, but after we got married and moved closer to her work, I had to give up my season tickets because using that Metro station late at night was a non-starter and parking near the stadium was impractical.

I know demanding accountability is what you view as "whining and crying online" but that's precisely what Californians expect when they approve billions in taxpayer dollars to LITERALLY address the issue.

So you've done nothing except quit going to soccer games, bravo!

You should take some time to understand the issue rather than standing on the sidelines yelling “do something!”
