Or if Biden accepted a new Air Force One from Qatar as a gift because it would be stupid not to...

    :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Remember who started the completely unnecessary war in Iraq that destabilized the entire Middle East?

    He wasn't a Democrat.

Still about the only thing I've ever agreed with Trump on.

Yes he’s right about that. That said, the Middle East has been destabilized for a long time. And that dates back much further than even the Islamic Revolution.

Republicans just made matters far worse, and we're still dealing with the consequences of that decision to invade Iraq. That's basically why Syria lies in ruins today, but I'm sure your guy will get that all sorted out in no time.

When you say “Republicans”, so as to absolve your team of any responsibility, can you show me the breakdown of who voted for authorization of the Iraq War?

And yes, I do hope the new government can help Syria get back on its feet. No idea if they can or not.

I'm talking about team Wolfowitz, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell, Rice and of course Bush. The hawks who thought toppling Sadam over imaginary WMD was necessary. The ones who pushed for the unnecessary, unjustified war that destabilized the entire region.

And why are you so concerned about Syria getting back on its feet? Seems to run counter to the whole maga narrative. When did you guys become msga?

You didn’t answer my question. It’s not a hard question to answer.

In any case, Trump doesn’t even agree with them and you’re the one who gets all aroused every time you see John Bolton on tv.

Per NBC, Top Iranian official says Tehran would forgo highly enriched uranium in nuclear deal with Trump

The comments from a member of the supreme leader's inner circle appear to be the clearest public statements yet on Iran’s willingness to reach an agreement with the U.S.

    Obviously.

And then what? At this point, just take it for granted that there are no rules or standards any more. There is pro fascist and anti fascist.

I don't remember him saying they would rebuild anything. They are lifting sanctions and giving them a chance to change the country to better for their citizens. He's extended the same olive branch towards Iran as long as they don't pursue a nuke. The biggest stipulation is stop funding terrorist groups.

That sounds even more narrow, constraining, stifling and confining than Democrat and Republican.

Sounds like a lifting of sanctions that may allow for US aid and assistance dollars to flow into the country "to assist with their $400 billion rebuild"...

Trump shocks and delights Syrians by lifting sanctions after 45 years. Now what?

...on its face, maybe not such a bad idea...we'll see. I have no idea how reliable, stable or capable the new Syrian govt is these days.

Right. It was these right wingers who were the architects of the Iraq war. They wanted to go back in there since the end of the first one. They took shaky intelligence and purposely misrepresented it to Congress.

And now left wingers are bitching about every single thing Trump does in the Middle East. Which goes to show left wingers will bitch about anything a Republican president does, period.

FYI none of the bitching is going to change the outcome of the 2024 election.

Forgive us if we have very little confidence for the rest of time in Republican meddling in the Middle East, you were probably a George W Bush supporter and have him to thank for that.

The current devastation in Syria can be directly linked back to disastrous US Republican foreign policy in that region.

Good to know, I'll relay your concerns to the White House. Maybe you can make Middle East foreign policy a central theme of your next presidential campaign.

Until then, I guess we'll just have to see how things play out. A stable Syria or moves towards a Hamas-less Palestinian state would be great.

Yep. As with any president though, he was far from perfect. Given what we know today, the invasion of Iraq was misguided and both Republicans and Democrats were misled by bloodthirsty hawks that were in that administration.

I appreciate the fact that the current administration seems to be trying to avoid conflict as much as possible, but as we know with unhinged liberals, they'll never be satisfied with anything Trump tries to do. And it's because they have been mentally broken by him.

well at least you can admit it, W was so bad he had to go into hiding post presidency.

and no, not broken at all, liberals don't like him because he's a pig of a man. just a disgusting human being who cheats on his wives, pays off porn stars so he can get himself elected, cries and whines like a baby about losing an election until he causes an insurrection, etc., etc...the list is looooong and disgraceful, he's just a very undignified, repulsive person who reflects the worst of this country.

how anyone could admire such a repugnant character is truly baffling to me.

As I've said, he wasn't my preferred candidate in the primary precisely because I'm not a fan of a lot of his personal traits, but to me voting for president isn't just about likability or personal traits (even though a lot of people vote based on those).

It's a lot of power that I wasn't interested in handing over to liberals, and 77 million Americans (including increasing numbers of minorities) agreed with me, even if many probably don't like some of his conduct.

He's terrible for this country, we've never seen a divider in chief like this guy. I'm still a believer (maybe naively at this point) in united we stand, divided we fall. Trump has sought to exploit the political divide in this country for his personal and political gain, he's thrown gasoline on all issues that divide us, he's never even pretended to be a president for all Americans...his bread and butter is in sowing the seeds of hate and discord, he's the worst kind of narcissistic fear and hate monger...

...but I hear you, if you had a less repugnant Kemp type candidate to vote for, you would have, but instead you had to vote for the pig rather than give a woman of color a chance.
