And basically ALL the posters here embarrassed themselves defending him and chalking it all up to a stutter. Seriously, if you have time, look up the post history for some of the prominent posters here vis a vis bidens mental decline.... its a doozy. And yet they are baffled why no one takes them seriously lol.
The President is in a Muslim county right now. The President just dropped sanctions on Syria a predominantly Muslim country. The Clinton campaign started the Obama controversy in the primary.
Imagine the MAGA-sphere meltdown for a moment if Joe Biden was accepting a bribe gift from Qatar in the form a flying palace, while awaiting a new Boeing.
Imagine one condemning former presidents and candidates over basically nothing and later defending an inept, ignorant, mentally unstable person when he performs the most openly corrupt act in the memory of the Republic.
Cool, does that change Donald Trump calling for a Muslim Ban to a room full of cheers? I know the origins of the birther conspiracy, but which party had their current leader peddling it , and most of their members believing it?
So, does this mean when Obama after getting elected had a change of heart about gay marriage he should still be held to the standard he had already set? In the end Trump placed a ban from seven countries that were majority Muslim but that was later revised after legal challenges. A revised version, Executive Order 13780, was issued in March 2017, removing Iraq from the list and lifting the indefinite Syrian refugee ban but maintaining restrictions on the other six countries. The Supreme Court partially upheld a third version in June 2018, allowing the travel ban to continue for five countries (Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, and Yemen) on the list.
So they're actually falling hook, line and sinker for something a D said? Odd. Then again, they're the party of WWG1WGA...aka a cult.
These are pretty sad attempts at whataboutism. I think Barack Obama was insincere as hell about gay marriage. He quietly spoke out against it when it was politically popular to do so, and then waited til public opinion shifted to 51% on the issue to come out in favor of it (I think it was literally a week after the first Pew Poll showing a majority favoring gay marriage). Barack Obama should never be considered a gay rights hero. THat's not really the point though, in the year 2025 a Democratic Primary Candidate opposing gay marriage or even the overturning of Oberfell vs Hodges would be persona non grata. Meanwhile a Republican holding those views, would just be an average Republican. Do you really think The GOP has the better history on gay rights? In the 21st century alone we've seen them stand in the way of gay marriage, gay adoption, gay soldiers, hell there'd probably still be some Sodomy Laws on the books in some red states if it wasn't for a Supreme Court Ruling. As for The Muslim ban, you are correct Trump knew that doing a full ban on Muslims would be unconstitutional so he later attempted to moderate that position in order to try and find a legal way to prevent Muslims from entering the country. That does not change the fact that Donald Trump called for a complete and full Muslim ban during the campaign to a room full of cheers and went on to win the primary. That should have been a disqualifying statement. So what does that say about the people in that room who cheered? What about the ones who voted for him despite other conservative options? Also I'm just gonna address the previous post of you bringing up "The Hillary started birtherism" claim which is horseshit. It is true that the origins of this conspiracy came from a small number of her supporters on the internet, and a lawyer who supported her even brought forth a lawsuit trying to get OBama kicked off the primary ballot. However that lawyer was not in anyway part of her campaign and she never peddled the conspiracy herself. Surely you see the difference between that and Trump going on Fox and Friends to peddle that bullshit or 70% of your party questioning his birthplace? I'm sure you do, though you'll pretend it's the same
Inflation cooled again even as some tariffs took effect. But economists don’t expect that to last https://apnews.com/article/inflatio...1bd08186589c?utm_source=copy&utm_medium=share Overall, the report suggests tariffs haven’t yet impacted prices for many items. Economists say the impact will more likely be seen by June or July. The 10% tariff on all goods that took effect April 5 could take two to three months to feed into the inflation data. And many companies built stockpiles of products earlier this year, enabling them to delay price hikes in hopes that the trade war will cool.
Yes, he's so pro-apartheid that he's telling Bibi I won't support your invasion of Gaza. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...rt-of-us-as-trump-tires-of-israel-war-in-gaza Speaking of supporting white supremacy, who supports these guys again? https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/10/azov-far-right-fighters-ukraine-neo-nazis Here's a lovely headline: Ukraine's National Militia: 'We're not neo-Nazis, we just want to make our country better' https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...litia-takes-law-into-own-hands-neo-nazi-links Well that makes feel better, but wait here's the picture that accompanies the article:
So, it was her supporters, and did she ever say it wasn't true during the primary? Blumenthal, whose penchant for spinning dark hypotheses long ago earned him the nickname “grassy knoll” — a reference to Kennedy assassination conspiracy theories — did not work for the 2008 campaign. But he has been close to both Clintons since Bill Clinton’s first presidential bid in 1992, so he would be more than just a random, unhappy Clinton supporter.
LMAO, now post the clip where Trump compared gay couples to using incorrect golf clubs. It's also very on brand for Trumps "Pro gay rights" speech to mainly be about demonizing foreigners lol I will say the GOP has moderated quite a bit on gay rights, that's a good thing (though it seems you've just moved your sights towards trans people which is less good). A slight majority of your party still thinks gay people shouldn't be married, and your party as a whole has pushed back against gay rights for decades. It's cool you've lost this battle and are starting to surrender, but letting a gay guy speak at your convention doesn't change that. Lol this "Grassy Knoll" fella would have been one of Trump's lead campaign advisors. This is such a laughably stupid game you're playing. Donald Trump peddles a stupid and racist conspiracy theory, but it's wiped away because an obscure attorney that knew the Clintons also peddled it. If we made that guy our Democratic nominee, I'll hear you out, but for now it's just a stupid comparison, and you know it is. I know Clinton did fire some low level staffers in Iowa who forwarded conspiracies via email about Obama being a secret Muslim. You think Trump would have done that? Did the birther conspiracy ever spread far enough among Democrats to warrant a response?
