He's already a convicted sexual predator, we'll probably get the salacious details of his sexual escapades with Epstein, eventually. Won't change many Republican minds though. Shouldn't you be out there passing the Dutchie, celebrating your big win in Holland someplace? Are you really this hopeless & petty? Get out there man, enjoy yourself, your hero won!
While I am not in Brazil, its politics have mimicked more and the topics of American politics ... at least on domestic issues. Brazil obviously doesn't have the foreign affair angle that the US has. If you've seen some of my posts with one poster in BS that I will not mention about Lula, you should know I am not a fan of Lula. Way too many connections to farther left figures. But, when he got elected in 2002, he did preside over the best decade in recent economic history in Brazil. Probably since the 70s. There were fears he was going to turn the country into far left socialism even communism, but that was untrue. I am old enough to remember the 90 election when he first ran that the opposition said if he was elected, he was going to confiscate your bank account and rent a bedroom in house to needy people. In reality, from 2001 to 2009, bankers never made more money in Brazil. Bolsonaro got elected on the promise of fighting crime and corruption. I think the logic was, he may be stupid, but at least he is not corrupt. He had some scandals but not sure how corrupt he was. I didn't follow it closely. And whoever uses the argument that Trump can't be a dictator because of his first term (even though the actually tried a fake elector scheme to overturn the election and tried to force Pence to not validate the election results), has to accept the argument that since Lula didn't turn Brazil into Venezuela, he wasn't going to do it now. Lula is a left populist ... but not stupid or strong enough to turn Brazil into Venezuela as many of the Bolsonaro people claim. Brazil is probably too big and there is too much big money interest in it for that to happen. That doesn't mean the country isn't in bad shape. But Brazil's economy is way more dependent on commodity prices for example for a President to have that much control over booms and recessions.
In this important respect at least, sounds like Lula may be doing some good and delivering on his promise... Deforestation in Brazil's Amazon drops by nearly 31% compared to previous year | AP News
I voted for Trump last week as a LGBT person who’s 30 and below. Too many people on this forum wanted to look down on us voters and try to demonize us without trying to have a conversation. Lessons should be keep acting like that and you will see what happens when voters go into a voting booth.
Can careless yall don’t and will not realize gay people and other minority groups aren’t one issue voters. Ding ding you lost in 2026 thinking running on how bad Trump is and democracy would win an election while kamal flip flopped on everything.
On hegseth. The face that pocahontas aka Liz Warren hates the pick, makes me happy. That's how you know it's a grand solo ohtani home run. Eat sh1t libs.
Trump was never convicted of sexual assault. He was sued by some crazy woman who claimed he grabbed her by her pussy 40 years ago. It was basically her word against his, and Trump lost the lawsuit in a civil court, which was located in heavily Democratic Manhattan. Look up the term lawfare. I don't for one second believe that Trump is a rapist. But apparently you do, and this is how well propaganda works when the mainstream media and the government collude and decide to come after you
Look at the bright side: at least Biden wasn't convicted in a court of law of rape -- or for you who think there's a difference, the civil court equivalent of rape.
