Carly Wickenheiser (BK Häcken) ----------> N.C. Courage Häcken's sporting director did not want to sell but Carly had a by-out clause. And of course the new Courage coach was aware of this
Gaetino running away from a sinking ship, she is right to do so... In the Summer PSG will lose more players.

Toluca seems to be the club of choice in Liga MX Femenil for some esteemed Euros playing-out their later years--Henry, Le Sommer, and now Jacobsson. It would be a tough adjustment as the altitude is 2,600 meters (8,500 feet). It's close to Mexico City and has a lot of history so might be culturally more favorable to Europeans than NWSL--might even have more quality of life.
There is French youtuber who does visit to famous people and he went to Mexico to see Eugenie and her new life with her husband, they live in a secured and enclosed area in the city
Couple of big NWSL transfers today. Claire Hutton (KC Current) -----------------------> Bay FC ($1.1m) Criox Behune (Washington Spirit) --------------------> KC Current ($1m) Also, rumors that Barcelona have offered a contract to Cat Macario, who has refused to resign with Chelsea.
I think between now and whenever Cat signs a contract, every team should be considered as having made an offer for her.
Very suprised that Spirit sold one of their best player, of course with Rodman getting money, they might have a salary cap? But with HIP, they should not...bizzare. Same with KC selling one of their best player. MOney wise those are big transfers so good value
I'm thinking Bethune's moves is because of Martinez and playing time. I also understand she requested the transfer. I'm really surprised at Hutton. Though I'm wondering if that was done to make way for Bethune, salary wise. I think I read that Hutton had one year left on her rookie salary and she would certainly ask for a significant increase, so it may be KC making a deal to prevent Hutton leaving on a free.
True, but regardless, Hutton had to say yes to this, and wondering why she would is making my temples hurt. And what about the power of friendship...didn't Senator say she was excited to go to KC because her bestie was there...?
Can't she have more than one friend? I heard her say that Alex Pfeiffer was one of her best friends, and she's at Bay. I don't think there's a darn thing a club can do now when a player wants to go. They have to learn what they might have done to make their player unhappy and move on. I think Hutton just wants to keep challenging herself and Bay has a vacuum of leadership that she can fill--I think she wanted to leave before the Bethune trade and spent some time assessing her options both here and abroad.
I'm sure there are multiple reasons. One of them, I'm wondering, is not having Andonovski as head coach. Saying that, it was put to Hutton a few months ago at one the national team pressers about leaving (specifically to Europe) and her comment was really about other opportunities and experience and distance to travel for national team camps. So I'm wondering if those were consideration. She's a leader, and she also seems to have ambition, so a close friendship will only be so powerful to match her desire to improve herself. And she might be looking at Bay as a way to take the next step (and this might have happened regardless of Andonovski still being the manager. From what I keep hearing about Hutton and from Hutton, I think this is more believable as to why she approved the trade.
Tuva Ölvestad (BP) ------------> BK Häcken BK Häcken has broken the internal Swedish transfer fee record with the recruitment of Tuva Ölvestad from Brommapojkarna. For the Italian contingent here, Tuva is the great granddaughter of former Inter Milan great Lennart "Nacka" Skoglund.
Not as short-term as it sounds--Bay have 21 games from March 14 thru August 30 and have a month break in June. If things are going really well maybe there's a chance for a renewal till the end of the season. I did read that she signed a one-year contract renewal with Juventus thru June 2027, so she might have plans to retire there.
Gabi Portilho (Gotham FC) -----------------------> San Diego Wave ($175,000 in allocation funds - technically a trade) Note from me: Going forward, I'm going to note that NWSL intraleague movement of players is a "trade" and not a "transfer." For those not aware, the funds are allocated within NWSL and no money actually changes hands, thus it does not fit the definition of a "transfer."
Uno Shirakagi (Cerezo Osaka Yanmar) ----------- > North Carolina Courage Giovanna Waksman (FC Florida) ---------------- > OL Lyonnes
