According to the @azwazsport , Ewa Pajor will leave Wolfsburg for FC Barcelona. Barcelona has drawn the release clause of €500k. This would make Pajor the most expensive transfer of the Bundesliga. 🤑💶——————————————————#ewapajor #vflwolfsburg #ligaf #barca pic.twitter.com/cBJChvpgqs— Soccerdonna (@soccerdonna) April 15, 2024

I'm not surprised... imo we will see more outgoing transfers from Arsenal especially if Eidevall gets another contract extension. My money is on Walti, Mead or one of the Aussies.
Bundesliga is really bleeding players, but thats been the case for a while. A bit of the charm with bundesliga in recent years is that they make new stars. Gladly though Bayern looks to go the other way and will probably be a CL title-contender next season.
Miedema needs to get back to doing what she obviously does best--scoring goals. She was sabotaged by the dope coach at Arsenal, Eidevall, who didn't like the way she played CF! She was only the most prolific goal-scorer in the game--three times the leading goal-scorer in the WSL--and the most clinical. He turned her into a midfielder--a 10! She was pretty good as an attacking mid--but it was a stupid move and then Miedema blew out her knee. She ended up wasting two/three years. Eidevall did back flips to sign Russo for the CF position--and while certainly a good player, she's not as good a goal-scorer as either Blackstinius or Miedema. So I'm very happy Miedema is leaving Arsenal--but I can't understand why she'd join ManCity when it has Bunny Shaw--the league's leading scorer for what, the second time? Is she going to play as a sub for Shaw? You don't sign Miedema to sit her, do you? Is ManCity not going to extend Shaw when her contract comes up for negotiation? They wouldn't let her go, would they? ManCity has two good attacking mids, so I don't quite get where Miedema would play for ManCity--or what the club's plan would be for her. Of course a lot depends on Viv's knee and whether it is fully healed, finally, now after a second procedure.
I agree with those who think not offering some sort of contract (short-term in my opinion) to Miedema is strange given her status as an Arsenal legend and the fact that she turned down interest from Barcelona to stay longer at Arsenal just two seasons ago. However, I don't agree with those who think Arsenal should have tried to extend Miedema for purely footballing reasons.
