Landon Donovan speaks Spanish. Which is a romance language. Like French.

    It's kismet. Sign him now.

Didn't AW mention a month ago he was already leaning toward one or the other. Right now it's a tough call. He has played well at times. I guess I am tired of hearing people bash the beast when he misses clear chances in matches.....is that not what almost every player on our squad has been doing this season? (Sorry ArsenalTexan3, I'm not saying you are saying this! :) ). I like his strength and think he could be a good asset next season and seasons to come.

he really frustrates me at times but i just feel he is so close to becoming an important player for us. hes timing is his biggest strength and he has a knack of finding himself in great posiotions all the time, always getting chances. sometimes(see liverpool CC) he has that touch and makes the most of them and at other times he doesnt. if he can get that consistancy with us then he will be brilliant. we know he is a more than capable finisher thanks to his tally with seville so its just a matter of time in my opinion, its not like hes struggling to get chances due to not being able to get used to the english game. hes like adebayor at first. squandering chances a plenty, but he certainly gets himself into more scoring positions than ade so lets just see how he is doing by the end of the season

Well perhaps you were, or are you the only person that decides what is important?

And to the person who suggested we play Clichy as a winger............wow. Just wow. We have one of the best natural left backs in the country and you want to play him elsewhere? Who are you, Benetiz?!!!!

Look, apologies for the bluntness but we've been dealing with Ribery rumors for the last year and most of the regular posters here are tired of it. Do a search and you'll see the issue has been discussed ad nauseum. At the very least there is no reason why it can't be discussed in the transfer thread.

Btw, I notice you haven't voted in the poll......

i know that many people are saying that Freddie and Gilberto are going, but i really hope this is not the case. We have a very limited amount of veterans and Gilberto is a great leader and Freddie has been with Arsenal for a pretty long time. If Jens goes as everyone is suggesting, and Gilberto and Freddie leave. We only have Henry as a veteran of this Arsenal team. Gallas and Toure are established players but i feel that we need to keep the older guys for as long as they can play Arsenal quality football.

I Say keep Gilberto until Fabregas is ready to take more of a leadership role on the squad. Which is already is starting to at 19!:D Freddie has done well for our club, but with Rosicky, Hleb, and all of our youngsters in the mid-field, it is his time to go.

As for all the players who shall remain unnamed by me, can we please wait until there is at least a BBC gossip story about any of them before starting to put them in the starting line-up for next year!

the guys on fox football fone in are convinced that henry's claims of sticking to the club forever are a clue that hes gone, and believe that he'll be going to barca, and eto'o to arsenal. i dont know if i buy it, henry's claims seem really sincere, it is a scary thought. id love eto'o, but id love henry a little more.

i've been putting a lot of money on a lot of other sporting events and i'll be glad to put money on the fact that henry will not leave arsenal this summer, like it or not.

I can accept the possibility of Ljungberg leaving on the grounds that Wenger tend not to "hold back" anyone if he does not feel that they will have a chance at significant first team action. Lauren being the latest example. Whether this is due to generosity or desire to keep wage structure reasonable is up to your own opinion.

On the other hand, I cannot see that with Gilberto. I do not see him running short of first team action so I cannot see him leaving for that reason. The other reason for leaving would be if he really wanted to go. Again, I cannot see that happening as his comments have never suggested anything but loyalty to the club.

Gilberto isn't going anywhere. He is part of the solution, not the problem.
