Before we know it, the Earthquakes, E2 and all of the academy teams will all be training in one central location, with the latter two also playing their home games there.

    GO EARTHQUAKES II !!!

Do we know if having a suitable venue for games with some modest number of attendees is even in the plans for the fairgrounds? Bring your lawn chairs?

There's no stadium in the fairgrounds plans.

I plan to go to a few but not all of them in Moraga.

So then what's the long term plan for the Earthquakes II if they're not going to be playing at PayPal Park or at the fairgrounds?
I'm sure it's not St. Mary's College given how you described it...

I wouldn't assume they have a long-term plan as opposed to winging it from year to year.

Definitely agree that it will suck if that is true. I that happens it will lose the non family members from last years crowd. It was also a really good way of meeting some of the players and connecting with them on a different level than cheering for them on there field.
Last season got to talk to the coaches, Munie, JT, Mensah, Baldi, and Salinas. For me the funniest was Munie because he was surprised that people actually recognized him. He was next to JT and I asked JT for a photo and Munie just stood aside and when I asked him his face was like "wait......me?"

I only went to about 4 games but it was always a good time. I think the team may be disappointed in attendance at St. Mary's, if they care all that much. They had one highly-advertised game there last year that had good attendance but the hard part is getting people to show up game after game. As I say, easy to start, not so easy to maintain.

I went to nearly all the PayPal games. @Eddie Stiel did them all, I think.

Moraga is impossible to get to. Why not find some venue on the more populated side of the east bay hills? I know that's not easy (Oakland Roots), but surely there are options that would draw better than Moraga.

Yes, two years running. I will miss one this year that conflicts with Bay FC.

He needs a little Q II pocket change to get the DP ACM deal over the line...squeezing blood from a rock in Quake land

Who’s coaching the team this year? I heard Jordan Stewart was coaching at the preseason scrimmage in Monterey. Is Dan DeGeer still in charge?

Been suspecting this would happen for a while. Seems kind of late to be announcing it.

No one pays that close attention to MLS Next Pro, they could announce it mid-season

I've watched a fair amount of MLS Next Pro and USL Championship over the past year. Frankly, if I were Leitch I'd scrap the former and start looking for talent in the latter...

That is exactly what it is. The announcement is later today. The Town FC is already selling season tickets on its website. I don't know how to copy/paste links on this infernal mini computer device I am using as I wait for my flight home from San Diego.

About $20 per game. I hope the Quakes don't back off from their offer of free tickets to STH's because of the name change.

If this is a Quakes II rebrand, they're not really competing directly with Oakland Roots. But let's face it, Fish doesn't care about community, just the $.

The Town FC was started by one of the original members of the Roots' ownership group, who left after some kind of dispute with the other owners. But Moraga is very much not Oakland.
