Lose the Hispanic vote by an even bigger margin.

I definitely don't agree with him on everything - but he's the only candidate not afraid to say what most Americans feel: We're sick of illegal immigrants, want to have control of our borders (like any nation does), and we don't want a bilingual country.

Future generations will look back at the anti-immigrationists with sadness, like we do the segrationists, or prohibitionists.

I want America to remain an English nation. As someone without a drop of English blood, I'm comfortable saying this.

Damn the Brits if my Irish ancestors starved themselves and made a perilous journey across the Atlantic just to continue living in an English nation! :D

I'm not worried about the effect of illegals on our culture--after all the culture is always changing--nearly as much as I am the economic impact and the national security implications.

The border being a sieve is not good for national security. This is not even up for debate. Don't give me your PC, make-yourself-feel-compassionate bogus BS reasons. It's not. Period.

The strain on Legal American taxpayers is great. How much money are we spending on heathcare, etc. on people who are not paying taxes. Paying to educate illegal immigrants, paying to jail illegals who break laws.

It's not being racist, it's demanding that the sovreignity of our nation be upheld. It's expecting the government protect and serve its citizens.

I have no problem with legal immigration. Let them all come, as many as we can handle from any country, and from any race, culture, religion, and background. Let them have enough respect for us to come legally.

I'm voting for Tancredo because I know this is the biggest problem facing our country today. He's the only canidate that has consistently tackled that issue in an appropriate manner (i.e., no amnesty.)

Perhaps not. But, IMHO, it says something about his overall manner of thinking. In fairness, I wouldn't support someone who didn't believe the earth was round, gravity or a heliocentric solar system either, so I'm not just picking on Tancredo.

Yeah, but most Americans wouldn't care (and some polls suggest the majority would agree with him).

Some of you would have that icky feeling about someone who didn't believe in Evolution serving as President. I guess it would be similar to the same icky feeling we have about someone who's slept with Hillary Clinton being President.

    :D

As far as I'm concerned, he may as well have said that he doesn't believe that the earth is round or that he believes that cancer is God's punishment for sin. Somebody that detached from reality or that afraid to speak honestly to his base has no business in the White House.

My respect for Huckabee went down to 0% after hearing his response to that question.

And some polls suggest that the majority of Americans can't pick out Afghanistan on a map.........so is what the majority of Americans know or don't know supposed to inspire some sort of confidence?

You're slipping. It took you more than two posts before mentioning Clinton.
