I think it's fairly obvious by now Yamal wasn't fully recovered from his groin injury when he came back earlier this season. You can focus on the rival full backs all you like, but he's played nearly the same game every single match he's started since. Hopefully Barcelona don't mess this up any further. Repeatedly rushing players' recovery has always struck me as a much surer way of developing chronic injury issues than merely "overplaying" them, regardless of age bracket.

Yamal is the best player for that age group since Pele, which is saying something obviously. Interested to see how he progresses, hopefully he stays away from his bad habits (partying and shacking up with unbecoming social media chicks) - he's not Brazilian so I'm hopeful. Frank is Italian. But I know what you mean. It's not an offence, it's reality. Our most talented players historically weren't much professional and liked more drinks, party and girls. Tbh olise for me is the best RW itw since last season but yeah, at this age Yamal is one of the best ever and he's improving a lot. One of my critiques to him last season were his poor finishing but this season he has improved this aspect a lot
