Football Manager ..concepts ..Of types Shots or Shoots ..! If their technique is low then there is no point in teaching them to place shots. If strength is low then power shots are not going to be teachable. There is also composure to take into account. A low rating in that can mean that they buckle under mental pressure and miss shots not due to skill but due to mental focus. I use these PPMs for select players. I usually teach place shots to smaller, weaker finesse players and power shots to larger, stronger target men. Also note that a combination of attributes and tactics can determine a players 'shot IQ' i.e. from where he chooses to shoot from. Some skilled players are frustrating because they choose to shoot from poor angles or from far away. PPMs and tactics can help a bit with these players but ultimately you have to decide if they are worth keeping since they can waste your teams chances by shooting low % opportunities. The important thing is to have a lot of variation in types of shots Place Shots Shoots with Power Lob Kick OveHeadKicks Volleys First Shots Around the Keeper Positioning Anticipating pretty well Shoots from Distance Curly Shots Accuracy % Flair Of Goal ... etc .... Miravlix[/paste:font] Members+ 848 Posted December 22, 2015 Shoots with Power has a hidden benefit, it seems to result in the keeper not holding a shot, creating an extra chance of someone scoring. a finisher that get close to goal is prolly better with places shots, shoots with power seems quite helpful on players who shoots from future out. https://community.sports-interactive.com/forums/topic/364156-place-shots-or-shoot-with-power/

@Trachta10 - the first 4 and a half minutes is full of Bergkamp Ajax assists (apart from the ones in the orange shirt of the Netherlands NT) so I thought I'd alert you as IIRC you didn't have him down for a lot of assists with Ajax on the goal contributions thread did you? This video probably can't help with an exact number but it could indicate an under-counting potentially I guess. I see there are a few 'key passes' (that didn't result in assists) from World Cup 1994 as well on the video. It seems like it will be in chronological order, roughly at least. I know most/all of the Arsenal assists so will maybe skip through that section, but it's a great effort to make that video I think (the only video on the channel so far I see actually, but a really good one!).
I can see that it looks like there are a good amount of key passes included in that section of the video too though (some of them I possibly saw but forgot by now I guess!). Souster's footage is being used, but I guess he would agree it's fair enough, and makes for a good combination with the earlier Ajax/Inter period assists and passes, all on the one video.

For me ... 1# johan Cruyff ..... abyss gulf chasm ..... 2# Ruud Gullit ( ....anti-Maradona in the sense of being an antidote against Maradona on the field ....... to not let him win every possible and imaginable title on career ) 3 # Marco van Basten 4# Van Hanegem ..... (.....anti-Cruyff in the sense of being an antidote against Cruyff on the field............... to not let him win every possible and imaginable title on career ) as Roberto Dinamite against Zico ... Regional Carioca Championship .... 5 # is harder to choose someone ... drawned Ruud Krol Arie Haan Johan Neeskens Ronald Koeman ... not as a defender to do def covers so bad ,,,,, But I like him as a central midfielder midfielder World Class Level for sure .. !
Interesting to see - I think if not Neeskens, the other option for 5th for me might have been Rijkaard, ahead of Krol and Rob Rensenbrink, and with Faas Wilkes being an uncertainty for me to place and so in theory being a possible candidate too (for best level and/or career). The top 4, including Bergkamp, would be kind of set in stone as definite choices for me I think. IIRC Puck will be inclined that way too, and I might expect he will be considering Van Hanegem indeed and perhaps Faas Wilkes indeed (and Rijkaard) as the 5th option (but he will probably answer himself). Carlito's answer will be interesting also and I wouldn't be shocked to see Robben in his list I think (maybe he's another one in the mix for Puck too actually IIRC).
...... .. Yes I am a male fox...... but an older fox hahahahaha already .. Of course, among all of you guys , I watched a lot more +++ their entire games The Oldest Players.. Faas Wilkes.. I saw him playing against Spain. from Di Stefano and Germany...Helmut Rahn..and other Matches ...too .. I found a player... he was just a good player... Yes He had skill despite being very taller and a bigger boy,.. But... limited a bit technically.. and in total footballer concepts.. he reminded me of three big guys from Feyenoord against Benfica 1962/63 for the Old European Cup ! Faas Wilkes was skillful abit yes ..!
