The following restaurants will never again get my business for the reason of them sucking for various reasons:

    Burger King
    Einstein's Bagels
    Papa John's

Someone here always talks up California Pizza Kitchen. Should be named Bag O Sh!t.

The words 'California' and 'pizza' should never be mentioned together in the same sentence.

Well, unless of course you were saying something like, "Boy, that California pizza sure is the suckiest bunch of suck I've ever had."

I disagree with you Lastort/Galileo bashers, I had an excellent meal there. over 4 years ago, though. I would be furious to get something lousy there because it's pretty expensive.

It was very expensive and it stunk.... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Also, Hooters officially blows. It's too expensive and the food takes forever.

Chipoltle makes bland burritos with too much rice and sh!tty beans. And they put lettuce in them.

    I wouldn't recommend Galileo to anyone either. . .

Anyone who is cheap and is too stupid to understand good food, that is.

    :)

Nothing to do with restaurants but this made me think of that scene from Amarcord.

Last time I heard, you don't go to Hooters for the wings.

A lot of New Yorkers love the unlimited wings on Sunday afternoons at Down The Hatch in the Village. I hate it. They stuff about 3,000 people in a basement bar, so you can't move, wings aren't that great. I like cheap food but I also like breathing.

I went to a Hooters in Reno, Nevada back in the mid-90s (I do believe it is shut down now). I forgot what the heck I ordered but it was worse than Mickey D's. And the damn waitresses weren't that hot either.

But then again we are talking Reno, Nevada.

Here in Boise, Idaho we have our version of Hooters and it's called Busters. The girls don't wear that short of shorts in there but they do wear Daisy Dukes and tie their tshirt in the back so it accentuates their tits.

Agreed. A friend took me out to it and I was highly dissapointed by the food as well as the bill.

Olive Garden. Not bad if you're starving to death, but beyond that...

That's why there's Filomena's, while it may be expensive at least the food is good :)

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that doesn't have taste though.

I disagree. Olive Garden has awful food, and their commercials are twenty times more offensive to real Italians than The Sopranos could ever be.

If you are going to Down the Hatch for the food...
Go for the drinks, and the babe watching (NYU chicks :D)
But I agree, it's always too crowded on Fri-Sun
note : the wings aren't that bad either, just not worth suffocating for, correct shady?

College Bars in NYC suck. Walk 2 blocks east and go to the Belgian Bar. Best mussels and pomme frittes in town- not to mention excellent Belgian beer on tap.

One of the pleasures in living in such a cosmopolitan city as NYC is never, ever having to eat at a national chain restaurant. They all suck one way or another. Much more fun when you discover a little place out of the way that serves the best __________.

Any Italian I grew up with would die of shame if he/she was caught walking out of a Olive Garden.

Correct. They're hot, they're tasty and you're drinking beer.

If I lived in the Village, maybe I'd get it to go, but then it wouldn't be unlimited wings.

    - eric d: agree completely about restaurants in NY.
    re: pommes frites
many people make the mistake of going to the one at the corner of St. Marks and 2nd Ave (the one with the cone outside). You have to go a block or two (?) down, where they let you bring in beer from the store next door.
