Yeah, BUT ... ... it's pretty tricky getting to the full replay without seeing the result. I've had my wife pull up the replay while I have my back turned. Even if you don't see the actual score, the highlight video icons give a pretty good clue as to how it turned out.
Yes, the last time I tried to do that I had to drill way down, and it took practice to get there consistently. Hopefully it's easier to navigate now.
This is true - the highlight videos (and even the "important plays" that show up now so you can "catch up" to a live broadcast if you want to, rather than watching from the start) tend to give away what teams benefitted from the plays.
Great article and story on a behind the scenes member of the team - https://www.revolutionsoccer.net/ne...ttled-cancer-deb-ross-revs-inspire-each-other
I watched LAFC and Miami last night. Every time a LAFC player got bumped, they would fall to the ground, rolling around holding their face like some one kicked them in the head. The ref would tell them to get up and they would jump back up; a miracle if I ever saw one. The refs need to start carding every one of them. It is disgusting on how many players dive all over the pitch. It really makes it difficult to watch a game.
And, if found to have embellished, then have them start the next game ALREADY on a yellow card I hate the unwarranted diving and flopping. At the same time, I see uncalled contact frequently - and it seems, for some of those instances, the only remedy available to the player being fouled is to use drama to draw attention
We're in the midst of 9 away games out of 11 (including the USOC) since our first home win against RBNY. I don't think a single person thought or expected that we'd go 4-1-0 in that stretch (the first game was a loss at Cincy) and that we'd go to both Atlanta and Charlotte and gets wins. After Wednesday, we head to Orlando who hasn't lost since the third game of their season and are 3-0-5 in their last 8, and then host San Jose next weekend (1-3 on the road). After San Jose, which should be interesting as there will be a lot of guys/coaches trying to prove something, can this momentum for the Revs continue with a stretch that has @ KC, @ DC and @ Montreal, three of the worst teams in MLS currently?
I don't know. All I can say with reasonable confidence is that we give up not many goals. In fact, 2 was the most (in one game only) and that was on a fluky restart in garbage time. We've shut down teams who resumed scoring goals again in subsequent games. That gives me a degree of confidence. I worry way more now about the injury bug returning, especially to the most important player out there for us: C Gil. One other thing to note is that Feingold -up the flank- is giving us some more attacking potency.
And that wasn’t possible, with injuries to Bye and Miller and Feingold needing to figure out what works in MLS, that accounts for a big factor in our slow start. I’ve heard people suggest that Porter stumbled into this 3-4-1-2 or 5-2-3 or whatever you want to call it, the fact is that it wasn’t even a possibility until Miller and Feingold were ready for it.
When Stefan Frei made his MLS debut (2011), Dwayne De Rosario was on the field as his teammate. When Osaze De Rosario (Dwayne's son) made his MLS debut this weekend, Stefan Frei was on the field as his teammate.
I wonder how many father-son combos there have been in MLS. Just for the Revs, off the top of my head, Alex and Teal Bunbury; John and Ian Harkes, and if you want to go back to the NASL days, Tim and Taylor Twellman.
Continuing on with my (optimistic) view ... if the Revs can have some success in their 4 remaining league games in May, they will only have played 5 of 14 games at home. So the remaining 20 has 12 home and 8 away. Defend the Fort!
Simo Valakari (FC Dallas) & Onni Valakari (San Diego) David Ferreira (FC Dallas) & Jesus Ferreira (Dallas, SEA) There must be others.
I just noticed it, so not sure how long it has been there, but the Revs website now has a link to "FIFA World Cup 2026 Boston": which takes you to https://bostonfwc26.com/hospitality-and-ticketing/
Yeah, they've been pushing the hospitality packages for awhile now. No access to just tickets, though.
Anyone get the FIFA RTB ("Right to Buy" package email)? If I'm not mistaken, they're selling the option to buy tickets later at an undisclosed additional price. The whole WC2026/USA feels like a giant, greedy FIFA ripoff.
Is this like a Personal Seat License that some teams have done with new stadiums? In other words, you pay for the right to buy season tickets. I knew the WC this time around is going to be ridiculously expensive, considering the prices for concerts, sports, or any big event. IIRC, in 1994 tickets were like $45 for category 2 tickets for group stage games at Foxboro, and $50 for R-16 (Nigeria-Italy) and $60 for the quarterfinal (Italy-Spain). Adjust it for inflation, but Ièm afraid Ièll be priced out of this WC.
BOS Nation was a terrible name. They musta used the same focus group MLS used in 1995 to come up with Clash, Burn, Wiz, Rhythm, Nitro, etc. At least the last two never saw the light of day. But what does "Legacy" mean for a sports team? Theyèd be better off going with that other naming trend of 2 unrelated nouns like Yard Goats, Devil Dogs Dawgzz
13 months out from the World Cup, what plans do the Kraft’s have for making Gillette a suitable venue for the tournament?
