Yeah, you're right, somehow I was thinking the loss in '14 was in regulation, but maybe it was just my sunny, optimistic attitude shining through when we got into extra time.

Yes, and the cruelest part was we got burned by all the golden goal and overtime rule changes as they were implemented. In every case they worked against us. In Houston a golden goal rule would've ended it, but no, we were too busy celebrating our go-ahead goal and that bastard Ching, realized this brought the ball right down the field to equalize. After that, the feeling of dread set in and one sensed that there was no bleedin' way we were going to win -and we didn't.

Also, in all those cases I came away with the feeling that the front office left us just one player short of taking the enchilada.

Yeah, not to dog-pile on the FO, but there were countless situations in those years where making a move for that one final piece of the puzzle could have made the difference--but it never happened, ever.

But hey, this is a different day, right? I mean that's not gonna happen again, right? I'm getting thirsty, pass me the Kool-Aid!

Travel is a big factor - I don't think they factored that in.

It's also based on last year. Teams playing us will show as playing a weaker team, since we were last year (overall). Teams change year over year. I don't take much out of this stat based on last year.

I just saw Paul Mariner is no longer on the regular game broadcast team but is still doing occasional analyst duties. Does anybody have any more background on that?

I'd guess that it's because they think Davies is more recognizable to younger fans.

I believe the Revs/NBCSports Boston may have relaxed their blackout policy. Last year I was unable to watch games in CT on ESPN+, but Saturday I was able to. I checked the New York teams and those were still blacked out for me. I'm not sure what this means for areas closer to Boston, but thought I'd share. (I bought a VPN for this season for the sole purpose of getting around the blackout issue, but decided to try watching without it to test it. Oh well, a VPN isn't a bad thing to have in general, I guess!)

Fwiw, I was able to watch on ESPN+ from Newton so maybe this was just a screw up? I was ready to activate my VPN but didn't have to. We will see what happens Saturday

Ha ha! That's a good one! But seriously folks, Kraft will renovate Gillette to get a World Cup game before he builds the Rev's an urban SSS.

I tried it again last night and this morning, and it appears it was just a fluke.

Does anyone else subscribe to the New England Revolution calendar to have the games added automatically to you calendar? I have been doing this for years and this years set of games showed up a month or so ago. Then a few days ago they all disappeared.

Has anyone else had this experience?

An answer to the question "Why?" might be nice. 6 home games in March and April, now including 3 in one week? 9 home games before June? 8 home games and 11 away games between June and October?

Maybe there's some big concert (or some other event that makes more money for the Krafts than a Revs game) at that time that conflicts with the game?

If there is, it is not on the Gillette Stadium upcoming events page yet.

Three home games in one week in April is ridiculous.

It is ridiculous, even though it benefits me as I have to miss the 4/4 game.
