couple of points....1 (you may have already had this pointed out) you make a bit of a slip when you note that Jeremy Hall started in net (it was, and I know you know this, Freddie Hall)...easy mistake to make but but if no one pointed it out and you can somehow edit your vid (not a techie so I don't know if it is possible) before too many people see it...you might want to.

    2. Not sure how Darren O'Dea making a red tackle challenge (I know he only got a yellow but, really, that is a red) at that point in the match can be described as a positive. Call it truculence, call it passion, if you will, I call it the selfish act of a player and a sign that he had already slotted it in the "loss" column and figured "might as well kick someone".

Dunfield Does The Job for TFC

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/2012/08/dunfield-does-the-job-for-tfc/

In this post game video blog I celebrate the heart shown by TFC midfielder Terry Dunfield, the "bedding in" of Darren O'Dea, I take a look at Paul Mariner's surprisingly decent road record as TFC Head Coach and I try and get a grasp on the scale of the task ahead for Toronto on Tuesday as they face Santos Laguna in the return of the CONCACAF Champions League.

TFC To Play Out The String

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/2012/08/playingoutthestring/

Post game video thoughts on a late loss to Mexican side Santos Laguna in Champions league play. In this V-Blog I take a look back at the disappointing end to the campaign, the fact that the remaining games are essentially meaningless now and I offer TFC a suggestion as to how to perhaps make these last few games productive.

TFC Officially Bow Out Of MLS Playoffs

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/2012/09/itsover/

Post game video thoughts on another dire night at BMO Field on Wednesday evening that saw Toronto FC fall to its eighth home defeat this season and end the farce that was TFC's chances of making the post season.

Maybe that was just an awkward way of saying "we'd like you to stay in Toronto "

Not trolling or gloating, I've suffered through bad seasons and know how hard they are. Unsure how you all felt about de Guzman but after his goal yesterday he brought up that quote. FWIW - may you fare better in the future as your team pushed the league along when they entered the league and the fans deserve better.

    Apathy Reigns at BMO Field

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/2012/09/apathy-reigns/

In this post game video blog I lament the late loss of points Saturday past vs Philly, the growing apathy on the pitch and in the stands, I shine some light on some lamentable TFC Security issues from last weekend and I again take a stand on 2013 Season Seat pricing.

TFC Bow Out of CCL Play

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/2012/10/tfc-bow-out-of-ccl-play

Brief video thoughts on TFC's non embarrassment in Santos Laguna on Wednesday evening that brings Toronto's fourth Champions League journey in a row to an end. Toronto lost 1-0 away in Mexico. Thoughts on why Freddy Hall needs to go, why Ryan Johnson was a Champions League Warrior in the last year and how great it was surprised to see Nicholas Lindsay return to TFC colours. I also take a quick look ahead to the finale this weekend in Columbus.

Fantastic post. I agree, we're still really bad compared to the best teams in our league, and we have virtually no chance of making the playoffs. But I liked what I saw enough to believe that things will get better in the future

    Thanks.

And I agree with the bold. I'm actually a lot happier than I was all week. The disorganization of our preseason really had me concerned that the KP/Nelsen switch had needlessly set the team back.

Now I'm basically back to expecting what I thought the baseline was for Mariner if he'd been allowed to carry on: a respectable team that's a little harder to beat and doesn't always embarrass us even if they don't win more than 8 games.

I guess we'll see where we stand in a couple months though.

I still believe there will be a noticeable turnover in personnel as the season goes on. However, if you are a tough team to beat, then you always have a chance to "punch above your weight."

The big thing I wonder about that has been alluded to by others elsewhere is if the club goes on a good run of form and expectations suddenly get amped up beyond what the team is really capable of achieving, how are things going to be viewed by the rank and file when things do go south somewhat in the standings? It reminds me of when TFC won their first CCL group match in style at home vs Pumas (or was it Cruz Azul??) in 2010: after that match, how many people thought that that season would fizzle out as it did?

It was Cruz Azul and that's still the best performance I've ever seen from TFC at BMO.

(And Preki's "boring" team knocked out a pretty damn decent Motagua side in the pre-lims. Amado G as their captain and Izaguirre was about to move to Celtic and win player of the year there! And it's not like the Hondos have been slacking internationally recently.)

TFC Earn a Point in the Heat of Texas

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/2013/06/texas-heat/

Video thoughts on the well deserved point Saturday night in Houston as Toronto FC earned a draw in the extreme heat of Texas. In this post I look back at the trio of Caldwell, Bendick and Laba who continue standout performances, I look at the next two games against the top two teams in the league and I offer Tim Leiweke a reminder that mid season friendlies are a bad idea.

Diego Forlan and the old, familiar incompetence of Toronto FC’s media strategy

A very good piece from SN360's Richard Whittall (still using The Score banner for this) regarding how possibly foolish and ridiculous the reporters covering the report of Diego Forlan possibly coming to TFC look through all of this.

Even Kevin Payne isn't spared, either.

Is Toronto FC Incapable of Telling The Truth?

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/2013/07/liars/

Why Toronto FC's handling of Darren O'Dea's impending return to Europe was shameful and sadly a statement about the culture this team needs to still fix.

Rain Ignites the Fire - TFC Victorious over the Crew

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/?p=3289

In this post game video blog I do my best to try and not get too excited or wrapped up in all of the symbolism from TFC's victory in the pouring rain last weekend versus Columbus. And I try and focus on what I think is the true message to take from this game - that a winning team WILL reignite the passion so long dormant for this team.
