I believe the SEs will provide water, soda and assorted snacks. Beer and other adult beverages are up to you. Please only bring personal coolers (has to fit in your seat or under, soft are best). The ones we're bringing will be in the aisles, no other room on the bus for large ones (we can store underneath). K
Lisi & Ziadie i'm not going to NY to see the DC game because i don't want to see Ziadie and especially Lisi beat us up! have a good trip though.
Good Question. Do they have DVD on the bus (yeah, right) or is it just VHS? I don't have a whole lot of either, but I'd be happy to rent some. (I also have very bad/strange taste in movies, so I wouldn't ask me to pick them out....)
I cant make it, but I'd be happy to lend you a VHS tape I got my hands on from our bus trip to MLS Cup 99. It's the first four year of United leading up to the 99 Cup. Some primo stuff When do you guys leave?
Re: Re: The Swamp Thing That's a very tempting offer, Chico. Since I wasn't on board until '99, I've seen next to nothing of the first three seasons, so that would be a nice thing to see. Plus it would be nice to see DC playing well for a change... We leave the morning of Sunday the 25th.
Re: Re: Re: The Swamp Thing Cool, I'll PM you soon and get it to you before you leave. Just bring it to the next home game.
Re: Re: Re: The Swamp Thing Try to convince Lanky to bring his Match of the Day scrapbook video, it's quite entertaining. Especially Keegan's perm.
We may also have that old Scum nighlight video (like 7 minutes). I think the highlight was Rhett Hartey haircut day. K
Re: Re: Re: The Swamp Thing This can be arranged... However, if you want to see some of the DC United hey day footage, I've got all the DC United MLS Cup videos that I borrowed from someone and have yet to return...(it's only been 2 1/2 years...) After 1999, I think they discontinued the MLS Cup...I'm not sure but it seems that with the scrapping of the shootout they got rid of the whole playoff thing as well...
Re: Re: Re: Re: The Swamp Thing That video has got more mullets than an Aussie Rules match, but hearing the MOTD theme every six minutes or so can drive you nuts. I do regret not having bought the other two videos in that series (60s and 70s highlights), because I haven't seen them for sale since. Dave
Re: Re: Re: Re: The Swamp Thing Thanks, I'll let you know... I am all about watching some DC heyday footage. Between what you've got and Chico's tape, I think we'll have plenty for the bus trip. Next, to sort out refreshments. I have a small cooler and a flask....
Who is that a stripper with big hands in South Philly? This game is against our most HATED rival, let's go! K
Heather Mitts is a player on the Philadelphia team. She could also be a model as well if she wanted too. http://www.heathermitts.com
Uh, OK and I'm supposed to care about this why? (This is the United forum!) OK kids, next Sunday is the day and you know you want to be there in person. Bus seats are still available, email your reservation to roadtrips@screaming-eagles.com K
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: The Swamp Thing I disagree. The tune is positively infectious, ask anybody who was on the Foxboro trip Oh my god, I can hear it now.
You're forgetting, Bryan, it's my tape! I'll bring it as well as the two 2002 World Cup videos I just ordered from Reedswain.com (All The Goals and the US highlights, which is being released tomorrow and will be overnighted to me in time for the trip). I also have the US v. Mexico game. Dave
