I told most of my friends that wanted to go to the Korea v Japan game to bring their money by this date and nobody did.

    April 2. 2003

I was hoping that the folks would bring money for the tickets and once again nobody did. I knew at once that it could be a bad indication but hopefully I hoped that I would get the money by early morning the next day when they start selling tickets.

    April 3. 2003

I slipped my mind. This date was our annual JROTC Army Inspection. That ended around ten. I changed out from my uniform grabbed the money from the kids and drove off-post to the nearest HANA-bank (the place where they sold the tickets) in Dongbu-Ichon-dong. I had about 200 thousand won and I walked in to the bank casually with 2 other friends of mine. I calmly asked "umm..i'm here for the tickets...the supporter section please.."
    -"sorry...there are no tickets"

My worst nightmare had come true.

A friggen week since all the hassle. But no tickets. I am sad. I can't eat. I can't sleep. I'll just have to watch the game at home. I really wanted to flick Nakayama off just for the heck of it but I guess i'll just have to flick off my friggen T.V screen the entire night.

If you were gonna flick off Nakayama you deserve to get no tickets. Sorry just joking, it always sucks when you can't get tickets to a game you really wanted to go to, are there scalpers you can buy them off of? And how much do scalpers charge?

    sorry to hear that.

its like the manchester vs celtics situation over here, sold out. i read in the stupid ass korean newspaper that they were going to sell them after the usa vs japan/venzuala match (march 29), but it turns out they began selling them on march 15. they sold out in 20 min. now, everyday i'm looking for tickets.

    good luck finding tickets.

I think I read somewhere that scalpers charge $200 for a ticket. You might want to check out ebay.co.kr or any other bidding site. Also, since JFA got 4,000 tickets so I'm sure there would be some in Japanese bidding site as well.

The Untold Part of the Story

Note: this is not a friggen lie. This is the very truth. do not be shocked.

    April 16, 2003
    7:10 AM

I was getting ready for school. I had a bus to catch @ 7:30. Oddly, my phone rang. I picked it up. It was a friend of mine that goes out with my other friend that attends a differnt international/foreign school in Seoul. Her boyfriend got tickets because they are filthy rich (since International private schools in Seoul cost about 25K dollars a year) and had hook-ups. I was speechless. I quickly grabbed my jersey and muffler. threw it in my bag and listened to World Cup songs as I left the house.

    9:40 AM

I was sitting in AP Literature making confetti. I got sent to the office for that. So it goes.

    2:40 PM

School was out and I had a soccer game to play in. Evidently, being a four-year lettermen and the captain of the squad, I was on the bubble to get cut for the All-Far-East tournament squad for a tournament in Okinawa. Outraged, I was very. The Korean team we were supposed to play never did show up so we scrimmaged each other. I played on the cut-list squad and was very angry. I wanted to cry. Our game started @ 5 PM after the girls team had their practice on the field. The game ended at 6:40. Me and my friend that was also invited ran like hell (he is also on the squad).

    7:10 PM

We managed to get there 10 minutes after kick-off. We stood up and cheered with like 20 other ppl that we knew in the middle of the WEST side of the stadium. I guess the people enjoyed it. And so it goes.

    8:50 PM

We lost and i was pissed

    9:10 PM

I had to go meet the japanese people. we took pictures with the Japanese and was refused by every one of them to switch mufflers. Of course, we were speaking english and all of a sudden this big Japanese dood comes up to me and tells me in PERFECT Korean "Ya shippseki ya young-uh ssoo ji mah (hey fuccer, don't speak english)" I instantly knew who it was. It was that dood on the Korean band "Rage Bone" that played the trumpet. Its the band that played the remixed version of "Go West" during the World Cup. We took pictures with them.

    9:50 PM

After a lotta dickin around I went home. Never got to flick Nakayama though. He didnt deserve it. He sucked so bad.

p.s. that was my day. thanks.
p.p.s anybody know a site where i can upload images so i can put em up on the boards?
