The Ladies have suffered their first loss today vs Chelsea away, 2-1. They are joint top now with Chels, who are ahead on GD.

Her injury is more serious than originally thought. That's a blow for United and others are going to have to step up.

Bummer. The She Believes Cup, a friendly tournament, starts Feb. 18. This year, it is key for the Olympics. And, since we have no Euros, the Olympics is the second biggest tournament for the USA.

The Nadeshiko have pulled out of She Believes. Whether or not the Olympics will be held appears to be a coin toss at this date.

Great away win against a tough Everton team (currently 5th in the table), which means the Ladies are joint top with Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
Called for Press to step up and apparently she did: had a very good game today leading the front line and scored a goal in the process. Just her 2nd of the season, with many more to come hopefully...

FA demands action after Manchester United’s Lauren James racially abused | Manchester United Women | The Guardian

Hmmph.... So the team loses today (0-2 vs Reading) and of course it's the player of color who gets targeted for abuse, eventhough she was far from the biggest culprit for today's result (the defense which has been very solid clearly had an off day).
With all the incidents that have come to light in recent weeks alone, I really hope that the players will take matters into their own hands if nothing tangible is done. The rumors about the government getting involved, levying big fines on the companies, is a start but when will that come into effect?
The good news, coming back to the sporting side of things, is that Chelsea's loss today means that United is still joint top with them. Huge game coming up Friday as the ladies will face City in the Manchester derby.

City leapfrog United following their 3-0 win today. City were the better team overall and it's pretty clear that losing Heath is proving to be a pretty big blow. And to make matters worse, the team lost Galton in the first half as well (from what looks like a calf or ankle injury).
As things stand, United are now 3rd, 3pts behind Chelsea and 1 behind City (both teams have a game in hand also).

Our girl, Ivana Fuso, took part today in Brazil's 4-1 win vs Argentina in the SheBelieves Cup.
So I guess she's officially turning her back on Germany (after representing them a number of times at youth level) in favor of her country of birth (to be expected I suppose).

Perfect illustration of what this club is concerned about. Tbf though, the Ladies team has been very well supported thus far: the squad is solid (with a good mix of youth and experience) and led by a terrific manager.
They've come a long way pretty quickly: had a nice little run at the top of the table and finishing in the top 3 (and qualifying for Europe) is a distinct possibility. Let's hope the team continues to get backed as they now push for the next step.

Big win this weekend from the Ladies. A much needed one that got them back on the right track, helping them consolidating their 3rd spot in the table.
Still missing extremely key players such as Heath and Galton but Staniforth returning (along with Russo coming back shortly) should help ease things a bit for the other attack minded players on the team (and help secure that much wanted European spot).

Big game for the Ladies tomorrow (at Old Trafford). As Press suggested, it is a must win with United now just holding onto to 3rd spot (the last one for European qualification) by just 3pts and a game in hand on Arsenal.
Shame they've tumbled so bad after the winter break (3Ls in their last 5) but securing 3rd place and a CL spot in their 2nd season in the league would still be an excellent achievement.

The Ladies conclude their league season with a 2-0 win vs Everton. Unfortunately with Arsenal securing a draw of their own, it means United finish 4th and miss out on CL qualification by a single point.
2nd time in a row they finish 4th but there still was progress overall this term (last year's deficit to 3rd place Arsenal was double digits). They were top of the league going into the winter break. The presence and production of Heath really was a driving force for the whole team, which looked strong until the break.
Injuries unfortunately really did the team in from January on, with some pretty devastating losses and long term injuries, especially in attack (Heath, Galton our 2 best attacking players but others like Russo, another newcomer who contributed early on as well).
We're on the right track though and next season the goal at minimum is to finish in the top 3 and secure European football. Need to keep reinforcing, especially if Heath and Press go (conflicting rumors on this going around at this time)
Still alive in the FA Cup though, with an upcoming 5th Rd tie vs Leicester coming up.

Owners need to invest and make sure the Americans stay. That would show a commitment to the infrastructure of the club. Don’t treat the ladies side as an afterthought.

To be fair, the Ladies team has been treated very well so far: fingers crossed it remains this way. They had a very good summer last time out, having made a number of moves that were excellent for the team to take the next step in its progression.
Heath and Press were the highlights (and the veteran leadership that was needed) but getting Batlle, Russo, Fuso were great moves for quality younger player as well. And there was also Staniforth, another proven vet and international and Thorisdottir (who came in January).
That's a lot of moves (granted the team is being built up) but that shows a clear signal of intent. The season they've had supports this also: the title might have been a bridge too far but I'm confident that if Heath wouldn't have been lost for the season in January (same for Galton), United would have finished comfortably in the top 3 (and secured CL qualification).
Don't know what is up with Heath and Press: as stated some reports suggest they'll stay (with claims that Heath was looking to buy a place), while others say they might leave. Whether they stay or go, this team needs another big summer. What happens with Heath and Press will determine how big it really needs to be.

This is not good for the Ladies. She did such a good job in her time in charge: things might not have gone according to plan this season but it's hardly her fault, with a number of injuries effectively killing their season.
Imagine she will be pretty hard to replace also...
