Lol @ the ref in that game to judge this a handball and give a pk against United. Ref watch....now this is pathetic. This is apparently a hand ball by @katiezel according to the ref pic.twitter.com/juD3uMpIaA— 48 hours (@48hours8) February 2, 2020 No VAR available I suppose but it really isn't needed here anyway.
That's a pretty bad call. That ref has nothing on the concacaf referees. In the u.s. women's first Olympic qualifying match, a goal was disallowed because the player who scored was in an offside position on a corner. It was called by the AR and the ref gave it.
Congrats to young Lauren James: never realized until today that she's Chelsea's Reece James's little sister. Heck of a first season at the top flight with United. Still just 18 also: big future ahead of her.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...d-head-coach-planning-for-next-decade-at-club Stoney has been a very good coach for the Ladies team so far and it looks she intends to stick around for a bit.
Can we please change the title of this thread. I guess it is tongue in cheek, but there aren't a lot of places people can go to get information on the ladies and if someone who doesn't have the context of the forum wanders in, they might be put off.
Funny I was thinking the same thing earlier today when the thread was resurrected in my feed. Maybe it was funny at one point but I don't find it funny much anymore. Frankly is a little bit insulting.
Can just thru the usual process of having alternatives put out and 'voted' upon: pretty simple and straightforward stuff really...
We’ve been hearing rumours that @TobinHeath and @ChristenPress are close to signing deals to play with @ManUtdWomen. While this would be another stellar move for the @BarclaysFAWSL, what does this mean for fan favourites that could be pushed out? #FAWSL pic.twitter.com/1qQYR2f6gi— Since 71 (@Since71Blog) August 19, 2020 Would be 2 very sweet (with the both of them among my favorite USWNT players) and top quality additions to the Ladies team, after already having a great summer in that department (with 3 good acquisitions already).
🦅 The eagle has landed. We are 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 to welcome @USSoccer star @TobinHeath to the club 🤩#MUWomen pic.twitter.com/51XfOo44kw— Manchester United Women (@ManUtdWomen) September 9, 2020
That's 5 very good to top quality signings for them this summer. You didn't think we were finished did you? 😉@ChristenPress becomes the second @USSoccer international to sign for us! ✍️#MUWomen pic.twitter.com/G6nkwpfIRc— Manchester United Women (@ManUtdWomen) September 9, 2020
I like watching her too but I just found her dribble herself into a dead end way too often. (I only watch USWNT matches)
Can you remind me who the others are? I know Christin Press is another. Yeah she can do that at times. Rose Lavelle is my next best, but you see where she ended up. Horan is another monster player.
Ona Batlle, very good young LB from Spain. Ivana Fuso, another very promising forward from Germany. Lucy Staniforth, England intl CM.
Educating myself on women's football this morning. Lyon have won 5 CL's on the trot. Surprised more WFL teams have not made a run in Europe.
English teams are going to start making real noise in Europe: they've steadily brought in some major talents from all over recently. Some clubs have made some big moves this summer, most notably City (got Mewis and Lavelle but also brought in Lucy Bronze and our old Alex Greenwood from Lyon). Chelsea, the defending champs, have got Pernille Harder, one of the top forwards in the women's game right now.
Man Lyon have signed all the best players in womens football apart from a few. Basically all the best French players and France are a top 3 side in womens football. They signed Ada Hegerberger (top player in 2018). They signed the best Portuguese womens player, the best German womens player, the best English players... They have it all. Lately other clubs are stepping up tho.
Lyon basically treat their women's team like they do the men's. Really impressive what they've done in the last decade. Our ladies started the season well with a draw.
