Tottenham Hotspur are expected to agree the departure of their Italian manager Antonio Conte, 53, this week, with former player and English first-team coach Ryan Mason, 31, likely to take charge until the end of the season. (Telegraph - subscription required) BBC gossip column. Here we go again.
One-season wonder Harry Kane scores his 54th England goal to surpass Wayne Rooney as England’s all-time leading goal scorer.
I've just read somewhere that Ben Davies will be out through unjury for most of what remains of the season. That strikes me as particularly bad news, as once Conte's gone, I'd expected to see less of Perisic, who's been poor, and more importantly, occupies space that Son needs to be effective. This could be a real blow to whatever the replacement (Mason?) intends.
Harry Kane now holds the record as 'top scorer who's never won a trophy'. If he stays at Spurs for another 5 years he'll be undisputed and uncatchable. https://www.givemesport.com/8810931...ored-the-most-goals-without-winning-a-trophy/
There were times when I didn't rate Kane as highly as perhaps I should have. He'd go missing especially against the top teams and I didn't think he'd catch Rooney. But, very well done Harry, you proved me wrong.
Here's the BBC breakdown for all the naysayers of his England goalscoring record Vs the next top 5 England scorers (Rooney, Greaves, Charlton, Lineker, Owen) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60124985
I was in good company then. Even if Harry leaves we'll find someone, we always have right back to Jimmy Greaves.
I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. I've long maintained a top elite coach would take us back to the top. Hey ho, back to the drawing board.....................who's next?
He was telling the truth but he was also generating his own departure. Anyway, I am glad we will no longer have to listen to his hypocrisy.
Exactly, he was telling the truth and I respect that regardless of the outcome. There are some good names in the hat but I'd like Ancelotti.
If he was telling the truth, I would like to know who the selfish players are. I don't believe it's everyone.
