Their owner, Jean-Michel Aulas, despises Levy (can't say that I blame him), after having to haggle with him over the sale of Hugo Lloris, so that kind of deal was never going to happen with Ndombélé. Our recruitment people simply didn't do their homework - in his younger days, he was turned down by a number of clubs because he wasn't fit (sound familiar?) and the fact that he was not a regular in the French national set-up should also have been a red flag. No doubt about the talent, but like Dele, once he got the big money, he decided to faff off.
Not really Spurs news, per se, but Jermain Defoe has finally decided to call it a day. Brilliant finisher. Brilliant bloke. Never wanted away, and once gone, wanted to come back. 143 goals for Spurs; 91 in the League. Legend, in my book. Happy retirement to you, JD.

That's quite decent. That really could be 6, or even 7 wins. Spurs being Spurs, I would assume a max of 17 (5 victories and 2 draws). A point or more v. Liverpool away would be amazing.
I can really see us winning every home match, beating Norwich and Brentford. Aston Villa could be tricky if they show up and of course Liverpool will be hard. 6-1-1 would get us top 4.
We're 10 points ahead of last year game-for-game so far, 54 vs. 44. Considering we finished on 62 last year, these remaining fixtures got us 18 points.
Going better than I was hoping beating Villa. The match was harder than the score showed but no reason we can’t beat Brighton and Norwich as well. It’s nice to say top four is in our hands. As much as that worries me being a Spurs fan.
This couldn't happen again, could it? https://www.skysports.com/football/...ncerns-harry-kane-will-be-fit-to-face-norwich
I saw that earlier today. Reliving it in one's memory is bad enough. The thought of it happening again is too much.
Media-generated nonsense. "Oh it's the last game, and Spurs and Arsenal are toe to toe for CL... Lasagne-gate hurr durr" Ali Gold has debunked the 'food poisoning' claim by Lineker. Kane was unwell in the week but has trained today.
Apparently, the word from those ITK is that Levy is going to back him. The team is already better with Bentancur and Kulusevski in it. I'm looking forward to seeing what further improvements will be made
Seize the day, Daniel. Conte is not going to be here forever. Give him what he wants and next season holds real promise.
Pending completion of a medical, we're about to sign Soton keeper Fraser Forster on a free as back up to Hugo. I read somewhere a week or two back that Conte had told Pierluigi Gollini that his loan would not be extended, and while I never heard that it was confirmed, bringing in Forster makes it appear so. Cup starts, maybe, but can't see much else.
