Let's be right. There is no reason to be playing at all right now, save one - contractual agreements. Depending upon how the contracts have been written up, it's conceivable (though not likely, I suppose*) that Daniel will be saying, 'if it's gonna be played, it's gonna be played here.' The Bundesliga's started up today, and I couldn't give two shits. The same will apply to the Prem, when it 'returns'. The season is a wash, and cannot be completed with any kind of propriety. I seriously cannot believe that anyone (aside from Liverpool fans, I suppose) cares. *I'd guess Spurs' cut would be coming from ticket sales and concessions … but if it ties into TV dollars/pounds, it'll be our empty seats he want you watching.
This looks interesting: https://theathletic.com/1825303/202...enham-director-of-football/?source=dailyemail I won't like Mourinho any better. But, it could prove fruitful after Mourinho's inevitable departure.
Apparently Tottenham are interested in another one of my countrymen, Ghanaian teenager Mohammed Kudus
A good article on Pochettino in the Athletic, a tremendous sports news site. Probably behind a pay wall. https://theathletic.com/1825928/202...?article_source=search&search_query=Tottenham
Yeah June 17th EPL is back but Tottenham definitely are going to have to make moves this summer transfer window
The first match I saw didn't have crowd noise and I preferred it that way. Even though I do miss the fans I still watch the games. https://www.espn.com/soccer/german-...wd-noise-feed-comes-from-and-how-they-made-it
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52911994 Somebody has tested positive. I hope that player has been isolating and didn't spread it.
My pal Vinnie (Winfried, from Frankfurt) is constantly laughing at Freund's commentary. He says he's always making direct literal translations of 'footy' phrases in German that make no sense in English. I counter that everything that Steffen Freund says makes perfect sense, but Vinnie laughs anyway.
Excellent article in The Athletic on the difference between the arc of Spurs under Poch and Liverpool under Klopp. Quoting: Link behind paywall... but let me say that the Athletic's excellence in sports reporting makes it worth the money. I pay for the Washington Post, the New York Times, and The Athletic. That's it, that's how I rank it. https://theathletic.com/1890318/202...pochettino-klopp-signings/?source=weeklyemail
Tottenham need to start buying players whilst selling players especially if they wanna hope to have any chance of challenging Liverpool or Manchester City
Spurs won't be buying anyone any time soon - Daniel Levy is already telling anyone who will listen that the club is going to lose £200 because of the pandemic. Money aside, Daniel Levy simply lacks the ruthlessness to make the key decisions that will take us to the next level.
Believe me, Mr, Levy counts every sixpence...he once docked the Croatian club that sold us Modric the price of the replica Tottenham shirts their chairman asked for from the transfer fee.
Well, there's one way to make sure Eric Dier doesn't get on the pitch... https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...limbing-into-tottenham-stands-confront-fan-fa
guys, i think you're a bit harsh on dier, he was actually one of the better ones these last few games...
He gave away a pen against Man U that cost us 2 points and he did a tremendous imitation of a pylon against Sheffield United. He is rubbish and would not get into any of the teams ahead of us in the table.
