Bolasie's red card not rescinded. The FA had a week to look at the footage and they still decided it as a red. Spanish press even laughing in Portugal's face. Portugal has no shame when it comes to shitting on any club not named SLB. How embarrassing.
Seriously? You can't take this league seriously. What is the point of having people in these positions
Actually Bolasie may still play against Porto. The only thing that happened was the disciplinary board confirming that he was suspended for one match so that Sporting can now officially appeal the decision. It's normal procedure, because i don't think the disciplinary board has ever done any absolving without an appeal. They'll now enquire the referee and then make a decision. Hopefully, the referee will come to terms with what happened.
A distant memory unfortunately. The last time we won it was also after an 18 year dry spell. This one is going to go much longer unfortunately. Unbelievable how incompetent the people running this club have been the last almost 40(!!) years
Has anyone lost a bit of excitement just on the fact that Bruno's left? I know it sounds bad but sometimes you didn't mind watching the rest of the mess just because of what he was doing.
Yes, I have. Not too excited about this roster as is. A couple of youth team players ascending would give a big boost.
Yeah, there's definitely no excitement in the squad. Boring, uninspired soccer with boring, unmotivated players. Looks like Amorim is keen to bring in some youth. Hopefully next year starts off with most of this squad gone, some youth players promoted, and a few solid signings.
Need to build our academy again and make what it used to be. The only way we'll ever win another title
https://www.record.pt/futebol/futeb...os-paulinhos?ref=Sporting_DestaquesPrincipais Making a lot of sense here. Interesting interview, he definitely put a lot of pressure on Amorim and the youth players with it, but I like that he is realistic and honest about the goals. Love his investment into the youth team.
I’m upset with myself for not buying one of these training shirts (either green or grey) earlier. Now they only have XL and beyond. Next season’s training shirts are pretty ugly in contrast. Wasted opportunity. https://lojaverde.sporting.pt/en/equipments/training/staff-training-shirt-19-20
Today I learned that in the only three seasons where the referees were randomly selected for games instead of chosen by the league, Sporting won twice and Boavista won once. Interesting...
Random question that I've never found an answer for. Does anyone know why the Jose Alvalade has it's moat? I've always thought of lots of theories but none with any actual reason
Does anyone here watch the Liga Nos matches on GolTv in the states? If so, wondering how often they show Sporting matches? Can’t do Fubo for $55/month along with my normal cable bill, but found this a streaming site with GolTv. Don’t want to miss another season’s worth of games.
Can't confirm in the states, but I was all the games on GolTv in Canada Streaming quality can be questionable though honestly.
I don't have GolTV here in the states. I used to have it as a part of Dish years ago when we had all the Portuguese channels, but the Portuguese channels also got rid of Sport TV. I've got Xfinity right now, but it doesn't provide GolTV, so instead of paying that ridiculous Fubo fee, I downloaded an app called "Fanatiz". It works like Fubo used to work where you pay a monthly fee of $8.00 for GolTv. You can pause payments and resume them at your convenience. For example, I paused them now until the season begins. You can download it to the Firestick and use it on your TV too. Another option is an app called "ModBro". It's free and I used to use it a lot, but their streams tends to have lots of hiccups and interruptions. They got shit tons of channels and stream though, including virtually every Sport TV channel that exists.
