It's been a year since the US's march through Japorea. Tonight we'll look back on what those magic days were like. Tonight guest, Andy Gustafson, radio, TV, and now author, will talk about his experiences as found in his new book 23 Days in Korea (www.Trafford.com). Find out exactly what you eat when you can't read the menu. Relive the experience first-hand of US's victory over Portugal, what it was like to be at the US v. Korea game, and just how confusing Game Day 3 (US v. Poland, but trying to find out what was going on in the Korea v. Portugal game).

Also we'll be talking DCUnited's success over the last week. Can it continue? Should there be any changes in the lineup? Should there be any changes in the roster?

Listen in at 6PM on WUST 1120 AM. Send in your questions and comments to Soccershow1120@AOL.com

Good show and thanks for the interview, I hope your listeners enjoyed it. I appreciate your spreading the word on my book. If you enjoyed it half as much as you said, I am a happy guy. I wrote it to evoke some of those emotions from last year.

Thanks again for having me on the show.

I was the guy who bought a copy from you in the press box the other night, Andy. So far, I'm enjoying it.

Vlad recommended it, mostly because he said he's in it a lot. Vlad and drinking in a foreign country. Imagine that. :)

Andy thanks for taking the time to come on the show, and moreso, thanks for writing the book!

I'm fairly critical about many of the soccer books that have been written. Very few capture the spirit of the game. However, this is truly an excellent read. Everyone one should seriously consider buying it - then hunt down Andy and force him to sign it. The stories that A-Gus has just from those 23 days in Korea are laugh out loud funny. Also, both Martin Fernandez (UnitedMania.com) and I had similar reactions reading it. First, it makes you want to go watched the WC games you taped. Second, it makes you want to start saving $$$ for 2006. Finally, as strange as it sounds, it can act as a Michilein (sp?) Guide for Soccer Travelers.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Glad you are enjoying it Mike. Greatscott and any other DC area fans interested in the book, I will be bringing a few with me to United games. I generally check out the Screaming Eagles tailgate kind of early.

I will be in France for the next few weeks, but after the Confed Cup, I'll be back at the games and at the tailgate, I will carry the book (in case you don't recognize me. I have been taking a couple of dollars off for fans of my beloved United (Manchester or DC, take your pick). If you see me, I'd be happy to give you a discount. Of course if you don't want to wait, you can order it at: http://www.trafford.com/4dcgi/view-item?item=3331&167195850-3692aaa

I hope all can get one as I do believe my passion for this sport comes through in the book. As US Soccer fans, we have little we can read that is not internet related. On the show Dice asked if I was planning another book. I would love to do another and a publisher has approached me about a history of the MLS book, but wants to see if there is a market for soccer books. I believe there is.
