The club recently uploaded a statement denying the Achraf reports by the way.

Well originally he wouldn't stay because he wanted to be the outright starter and there is no way we could have guaranteed him that.

given Dani's availability this season, that mostly wouldn't have been a problem....

In hindsight true but i can't see how before the season started we could have "guaranteed" Hakimi that he would be the starter, over Dani, just no.

Dani might be having injury issues and has struggled with his level of performance at times, like every other player in this squad, but IMO he's still a far better all round .player than Hakimi as a RB

If the problem was indeed a desire for a guarantee as the starting RB or else then the outcome was logical as far as i am concerned

Something tells me that Zidane had a word with Carvajal its been determined that one way or another Carvajal would be having an unfortunate and untimely injury.

Just our luck Lucas Vasquez has rediscovered himself as a right back.

He starts a game for the first time in a long while, against Bayern.

Bruno Hübner, Sporting director at Frankfurt: Chances of keeping Jovic are minimal. If he plays well, there will be much wealthier teams calling for him.

The chance of him returning to Madrid isn't even being discussed at the moment, it's all about whether Frankfurt can afford him or not, it's a given he'll be on the market in the summer.

    LOL

Unfortunately the papers claim we're selling him to make up for losses.

I see no one is counting his goals anymore and updating so I assumed things weren't going so well.

Last few pages re-read are hilarious.

A shame it's not working out for him back 'home'. I really thought we bought a superb young forward (he was exceptional every time I saw him play), but sometimes a transfer to Real Madrid just doesn't work out for certain young(ish) players. Oh well, it is what it is. He'll be back in the summer, let's see what the club is planning for him.

Because the plan was for him to stay on a permanent basis but the guy who would have made this idea work handed in his resignation to go work elsewhere.

Jovic recently have an interview saying he's lagging behind other players in Frankfurt in terms of game form, sayign he hasn't really played 90 minute football consistently for two years now.

His continued comments about how out of shape he is compared to Frankfurt's players look kind of bad on Madrid considering our constant muscular injuries. That's a big take away for me there, that everybody in Frankfurt feels he's physially a much worse player than he was before he left.

    Disappointed

Wanted him to succeed for his own good and so that we could sell him

A part of his latest interview is that he's not currency and he's going to do whatever he wants.

Not as funny as the pitchfork mob attacking people that felt Hazard wasn't all that when he joined us.

We all are. It's not like I wanted the guy to fail. I'm just not an idiot so when I saw the writing on the wall I said my peace. When it became a tool for fueraZidane mob, I doubled down lol.

Seriously, go back to page 59 and read from there. You will chuckle.

What will happen with Jovic if we sign Haaland? He is still young and have other abilities compare to Haaland. However we fail to implement him properly in Madrid and why he is on a loan.

    https://www.transfermarkt.com/luka-jovic/leistungsdaten/spieler/257462

The main issue he had 3 quick goals, but he has been very quiet for over 2 months almost before his assist in 3/6/21 in 11 games total.
