Even when the team win 4-1 and Jovic at 21 yo playing only 3 minutes scores an amazing goal for Real Madrid. The guy got the need to calm it down.

Isn’t called up against Levante. When he scored against Leganes he didn’t play for 5(?) games. Now he scored against Osasuna and doesn’t get any minutes. This was the moment to boost his confidence with a start against Celta or Levante.

When Thierry Henry made his place among the best strikers in the world and was a golden ball contender Zidane kinda ignored him and gave the ball to other players under French jersey most of the time (not all the time) to make sure he remains the boss of the team.

He is doing the same for Benzema over Jovic... If he gives Jovic 5 straight games playing a decent time and scores 3-4 goals he will have to deal with facts.

You can't expect a guy to become a goal machine being used like he is.
If he played the 1000 minutes Hazard played I doubt seriously that he wouldn't have scored 4-5 more.

 

Seems we do all we can at 10 of our positions, but buying in goals (The most important thing in football) isnt top priority it seems. Benz is doing fine too give us 3rd or 2nd place max.

He got opportunities and wasn't uo for for the most part. Which forces is to depend on Benzema finding form which has been a disaster.

I'm long time Luka Jovic fan, and I must say he isn't used properly. That games he started as mentioned here, yes, he had some missed opportunities, but hes young. It's not the same to play for RM, biggest club in the world, and Frankfurt or Dortmund.

First of all, Luka is a deadly finisher with both legs and pretty good headers, but he just isn't advanced tehnically and not used to getting back into midfield to create plays. Sometimes I see him on 35m of goal and that's just not him. He is better without the ball, and wingers should feed him. And that's not happening. Mainly because Zidane tactics are focused on slow build attacks while the box is crowded with players. Ball is just going from one side to another, endlessly.

He would be better fit for Liverpool or Chelsea, Bayern, teams with direct style of football. Give him the ball in the box and that's all. Do not expect from him creation or to dribble someone, just 1-2 touches and tearing the net apart with strong finishes, both legs. Fast transitions and situations 1 on 1 or in area of 20m where he can pull the shot from any position, rather than this slow build style while expecting him to contribute without the ball in overcrowded box.

He and Benz should start together, without freaking Bale, Vini Jovic Benz.
