Rusnak is still a talented player, he doesn't have anywhere near the same drive that he did when he first got here. He could have had a tap in from 3 yards out with a sprint, but instead couldn't be bothered to get into the 18
I am not mocking the fans in the parking lot or the Quakes for having that set up. I think it is a pretty cool adaptation to Bay Area restrictions on fans really.
This is exactly like MiB. SJ finds spaces wide and gets our defense facing the wrong way. We match up really poorly with this team
I hadn't noticed that Putna saved the original shot that led to the rebound Wondolowski scored on. Putna got a hand on it to put it onto the post. He had no chance on the rebound.
Despite our recent results, we have looked pretty dangerous with possession in past matches and looked like a team wanting to compete. Not tonight we just look flat out uninterested.
Being way out-possessed when you're doing well on counterattacks is one thing. Being way out-possessed in a game like this is just further evidence of futility. (It is 65-35 Quakes right now.)
Sometimes it's a facetious statement to say you forgot a guy was on the field, but I totally did with Baird tonight.
This is a team that in most leagues around the world would be facing relegation. For some reason I think we would be fighting harder if that were the case.
Yuell making those runs into the box, meanwhile Everton just ball watches as they make runs into our box.
Better end to the half. Chang is technically very sound - MLS caliber - but his speed of play and decision making are very USL-centric. His success tends to come when people lay off of him.
probably I would hope that these guys realize a new owner means a lot of new faces and a lot of questions on who gets to keep their job. That doesn't seem to be doing the trick, though. And you'll never get promotion / relegation in MLS. The entry fee is far too big to run the risk of a club getting relegated. And on the flip side, you'll have made every potential suitor just want a USL team that they can beef up. It's not happening. And other leagues around the world would do away with it if the top teams had their say. I'm not saying one is right and the other is wrong. I'm saying the US missed the boat on Pro/Rel and it aint coming back to port
