Former Wolves head coach Gary O'Neil is a strong contender for the vacant manager's job at Southampton, along with ex-Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick. (Telegraph - subscription required)

Would be hilarious if Wolves changed their mind and get someone else in. Not really sure how I feel about his conduct, I mean sure Clubs can just sack managers willy nilly but Boro gave him a chance again and his reward to them is to sod off at the first opportunity.

3-0 win away at 2nd place Stockport for Luton under Jack Wilshere. Three wins in a row for them now.

Big win for Coventry and Lampard away at 2nd place Stoke today too. Two straight wins for them after losing to Wrexham.

Boro, Norwich, Southampton, Swansea - It is quite possible that none of the four clubs will choose an English manager. Meanwhile Gary O'Neil, Carrick waits on.

Gary O'Neil is in the frame to take over at Leeds if they decide to sack German manager Daniel Farke. (Football Insider)
