That’s a big move for him. Would likely rule him out of succeeding Southgate if the FA stick to the limited or no compensation rule they are rumoured to have. (But if they stick to it they could end up with simply the most recent sackings as the only options). Hopefully they will lift that rule to avoid a possibly unsuitable candidate.
Not sure if it's a big move to be honest. Lyon are bottom of Ligue 1 which is now the 6th ranked league in Europe. Good to see him trying his hand abroad again if true.
🚨 Graham Potter has declined chance to replace Laurent Blanc as Lyon head coach. 48yo approached + top target for #OlympiqueLyonnais - saw as appealing but decided not right time to return. You're a mad guy you Fireburn. Never known anyone always draw such wildly fatalistic conclusions from such ambiguous pieces of information. I very much doubt he's leaving coaching mate.

Under pressure because they were beaten by Spurs? Don't think this has more truth in it than that one which said Lyon wanted Lampard. Pure speculation.
He deserves until Christmas at least. They were unlucky to lose against Forest and have lost narrowly to City and Spurs. They also didn’t do their best business until right at the end of the transfer window so he needs time to integrate those lot first.

He will be back in the Championship in a few months. My guess it will be Millwall or even back at QPR.

Fourth straight win in all competitions for Michael Carrick and Middlesbrough tonight after a dire start to the campaign. Hopefully this means he's turning things around after so many promising signs last season.
After a poor start to the season Middlesbrough have now won four on the bounce under Carrick. Hopefully another strong season from him and maybe a PL job.

NEW: Newcastle’s board convened last night re: the future of Head Coach Eddie Howe. Consensus amongst head figures is he’s taken the club as far as he can. No imminent decision to be taken in days ahead but likely to change in weeks ahead if results continue. More to follow #NUFC— Tony Campari (@TonyCampari) November 12, 2023 Eddie Howe set to be sacked according to this report. Zidane or Unai Emery tippier to replace him.
It's nonsense, he's taken that Newcastle squad above their level. Newcastle's squad shouldn't be achieving Champions League, Howe has taken a level above their quality.
